Just to confirm, can I boil these to heat up my stored meals?

Answer: Heya, thanks for the question. They are not intended to be boiled. You can pour hot water into them to reheat dehydrated or freeze dried foods. Thanks!

Do these bags seal with standard vacuum sealers ?

Some of my bags dont seem to hold vacuum. Is it the food releasing more air or bad bags?

when i start to vac my sealer goes quickly to seal before vac is done. plastic work fine.what am i doing wrong ???

Answer: Usually that is a problem where the bag is being pulled together at the lip too quickly. Shifting food forward in the bag toward the machine will often fix this problem. Thanks!

Will this vaccume seal. I heard sometimes Mylar bags won’t work on sealers.

Answer: This bag works with most standard vacuum sealers. There are a few with an electronic feeding mechanism that don't work. You are always welcome to return them if they don't work to your satisfaction! Thanks!

will this work with mylar bags?

Answer: These ARE mylar bags, read the description again.

Are these more puncture resistant than plastic vacuum bags? I'm considering these for dehydrated foods which frequently have pointy pieces.

Answer: Consider putting your 'pointy food' in cheap brown baggies from Walmart, rolling them up, and then vacuum sealing it in these. It's an extra step, but it's what I do for my dehydrated food & it works like a charm!

These work really great with the food vacuum machines. They are only 4mm but so far I have had good success with them.

Been using the bags for 6 weeks in different sizes and still extremely pleased with the quality and ease of use. I do not add oxygen absorbers anymore because when I use these bags with my food saver vacuum it extracts so much of the air that my food is sealed tight.

Ok, the cost is more than your standard bag but these are worth it. Being able to use my cheap food saver is a lifesaver with these bags. One out of five with Mylar and oxygen absorbers didn’t take. These have been perfect so far.
