Questions about Oklahoma Joe's 19202100 Bronco Pro Drum Smoker, Orange

Answer: i would buy this and buy the hunsaker vortex ... save you like three hundred bucks. I have bought the hunsaker vortex for my other drums and wsms....
Q:
What are the shipping dimensions?
Q:
Will a 22.5 cooking crate fit in the pro?
Answer: The cooking grate in this Bronco Pro Drum Smoker has a 21.5" diameter. A cooking grate larger than this would be too big.

Q:
Os there any one dumb enough to pay this much money for a charcoal smoker ?
Answer: Better tha a freakin trager, they are junk
Q:
you know company that can ship this tome to philippines
Q:
Is there a computer blower compatible with this smoker?
Answer: This smoker is so precise and stable you won’t need one... i have used this smoker already for brisket, chicken, and ribs. I literally left my brisket at 300 degrees for three hours and came back and the temp was like 298.
Answer: I hooked up a thermoworks smoke x2 to it with billows. I had to cut the bolt that holds the intake and toss the gasket on the billows. Works great! It does need a cooler fire than straight charcoal. I mix in wood chunks. It’s a unique flavor. I don’t get the bark other cooking methods get, but you can fix that easy enough on a Weber. My guests tend not to care and the food just disappears.
Q:
What is the lowest temperature at which you get good smoke?
Answer: 225°
Q:
Is there a gas burner insert for this model? For those lazy days when you dont feel like building a coal/wood fire.

Q:
How durable is the orange paint? Does it still look good after use?
Answer: Don’t order from Amazon. They use a 2nd party shipping company who is horrible. Never received the smoker. The company has the worse reviews. I had to get my money back and order it directly thru Oklahoma Joe’s.
Answer: Perfect, I have had it for about a year now, I use it quite often and no issues with fading or anything
Q:
What's the diameter of the intake tube?
Answer: Thank you for reaching out. The air intake on this smoker has a diameter of 1.97".
Answer: Diameter of the intake tube is 1 7/8"
Q:
Whats the point of having this as "Prime" if it ships in 1 to 3 months?
Q:

Answer: Yes
Q:
What is the difference between the oklahoma joe bronco and the oklahoma joe bronco pro?
Answer: The main difference is the size. The Bronco Pro measures 28.75" x 48" x 40" and the Bronco measures 25.4" x 43.3" x 30.3". The Bronco Pro has a 21.5" cooking surface and is able to hold enough fuel for over 15 hours of smoking time. The Bronco has an 18" cooking surface and is able to hold enough fuel for over 10 hours of smoking time. Both of these are fantastic smokers. Give us a call at 1-866-239-6777 and we will be able to provide more information.
Answer: The biggest difference are the fire baskets. The pro can hold 17 pounds of charcoal vs non-pro holds only 8. Pro has 21.5 grill vs non-pro at 18. The pro is certainly bigger but oddly has the same amount of vertical space for hanging meat (21.5 inches). Im also finding that the pro produces a more accurate heat. The pro also comes with a logo plate that can be mounted on the back.
Q:
Is the 22" Weber grate fit in this grill/smoker?
Answer:
Answer: It says it has a 21.5 inch cooking surface on the Oklahoma Joe’s website so I think it could fit a Weber 22 inch grate.
Answer: Wile I do not have the 22” Weber grate I’ve been told it does fit. Any 22” grate should.
Answer: Yes I believe it will
Answer: Yes it does
Q:

Product reviews of Oklahoma Joe's 19202100 Bronco Pro Drum Smoker, Orange
Thomas Bunio : Add a pit viper fan and this thing holds temps solid
Great smoker! Very sturdy and well built. Added a BBQ guru and the temps stay + or - 1 degree Fahrenheit. Very pleased and my traeger is now retired!
Jed : Not Tall Enough To Hang Full Size Briskets
I'm perplexed I want to give a higher rating, as I loved my other Oklahoma Joe's Offset Smoker. This had rave reviews but i have noticed many problems that for the price should have been addressed. I came in knowing it would be a big adjustment to practice but have been disappointed with a few things.
Pro's - Cooks well - Well sealed - Paint Holds Up Well - Easy to move around - Easy enough to move the fire box up to make use as a pretty good grill - Orange is cool (my neighbors thought I was cooking in a trash can)
Con's - It is a fight to get at a low temperature (210-230) and if it gets too hot in the coals it stays HOT! - Extremely difficult to add wood for a long smoke if running low - Fire box design is inefficient and full slabs of pork ribs or brisket hang touching the coals - Fire box is frustratingly bad in design its a bowl, grate and grate holder but the grate does not have position it locks in and regularly shifts if moving the smoker, trying to lift it out and the bowl goes right next to the low air inlet so it somewhat offsets the heat.
I would still recommend this smoker as it does a great job when it cooperates with me, I've had mine for about 4 months and 12 smokes of various items. I travel a lot and love when I get time off to grill or smoke brisket especially. I can smoke 1 whole brisket on the grill grate it self, but for the price paid was disappointed that hanging full (trimmed) briskets touch the fire box when at least half full or less which is a problem seeing as it takes a pretty full basket to get your smoke time in.
As for pork steak, ribeyes, pork ribs, chicken this thing is awesome easy enough to use and only complaint about the fire box is it can be hard to control the temperature of the smoker. I'll load a small amount of coals get them started gray close the box and vents to one it'll start on my digital thermometer inside at about 330-350. I'll come back after 30-45 minutes and the heat will not have changed a bit.
Amazon Customer : Used it twice now loving it
Put it together snd I am loving it The gf is happy cause I’m back to smoking meat
ChunkyButt : Pro not as good as original
The Pro isn’t as efficient as the regular Bronco. The extra size is nice, but I havent been able to dial in the consistent heat temp yet
Amazon Customer : Oklahoma Joe Bronco Pro
I will have to start with the shipping, I am SO glad I chose to have Amazon put this together for us, I bought it as a gift for my husbands 60th birthday. It is huge! It's very heavy, and it took 2 guys to bring it in. Kudos to the Amazon guys who came, they were awesome, they made sure I was satisfied, had me look all over the whole product to make sure everything was there. They even took photos.
Now, the smoker. I can't lie, I think its the best I have eaten. So far my husband has used it at least 5 times in the month of September. We have had no issues at all.
My husband is the one who uses it, here are his words. Very efficient, no smoke leaks, Cooks all day 12 hours from one pot of coals , and wood, never had to add anything, or even turn meat. It cooks to perfection. Easy to clean, and the COLOR Orange was awesome! Easy to regulate temp. He recommends that you must get meat probes, and temp probes. I bought those from Amazon separately, they are a huge help. Between the shipping service, the taste of the food, and the quality of the smoker I would highly recommend this smoker as a top quality 5 star. The meat was out of this world, he used different meats, and tried different rubs also. You won't be sorry with this one. The photos above were Pork Shoulder, Picnik roast, half brisket, and as you can see, he only cooked one thing each weekend but there's plenty of room to cook a lot of food on the large grate. In fact 4 large Pork roasts would fit comfortably . We have not tried ribs yet, that's next :-)
BTW, I purchased the less expensive black one first, the smaller Oklahoma Joe , from Lowes and it had a lot of issues, the screws didn't line up, and we had to take it back , so I decided to buy the better one from Amazon. I am not sorry I did, the extra money was so worth it.
Amazon Customer : Used it twice now loving it
Put it together snd I am loving it The gf is happy cause I’m back to smoking meat
Ricky Prescott : Fantastic Smoker
Temp stays constant.
Amazon Customer : Awesome smoker
Chicken turned out perfect. Probably had something to do with the chef! He was impressed with the smoker. :)
Corin : Good as gold
Best thing since sliced bread. I absolutely love it. Once you learn how to manage the heat it’s basically a set it and forget it operation. Well made and super user friendly. I would only suggest using a heat resistant sealant when putting together where the screws go as some have mentioned grease build up can cause leaks. We have not had any issues what so ever and highly recommended this smoker.
