Is this waterproof?

Answer: It is water resistant, but not waterproof.

What is the smallest increment of weight it records?

Answer: Hi Melissa, it weighs to the hundreth - example -10.54 lbs

how accurate is it?

Answer: We are using this scale to measure scrap on a production line where each piece weighs 7 grams. We consistently get weights within 6 pieces, which is 42 grams or 1.5 ounces.

What app do i use?

Answer: It is the Fishlogger app, available for both iOS and Android thru both the App and Play stores.

Where are the instructions

Answer: On the fish logger user manual

Can it reliably measure bluegill and smaller panfish? Need something that works down to the 10th of an ounce.

Answer: Check the error percentage

Any issues with the tape measuring rusting or peeling? We will be using this in saltwater.

Answer: We're using this in an industrial setting, not fishing. It seems to be fairly accurate and allows us to quickly take measurements by hand.

Answer: I have only had the unit since this past October. Okay so far.

Does actually work?

Answer: It does not transfer data from scale to application. You must enter it all manually. All the scale will do is remotely take a picture with your phone and put it on the app. Also all content on the application under Let’s get started is info for people who write the soft ware. I feel strongly that Amazon should remove this product until the product can do what they claim or rewrite their product description on Amazon. Sorry this probably doesn’t help but wanted to share with you.

Answer: The pull handle is where the batteries are located. Located at the top of the pull handle is a battery cover that you slide off and that should give you access to change the batteries.

Answer: This device is a piece of junk. When it first came out I was in contact with them on things that didn’t work. When they couldnt fix them they quit talking with me!

The scale works, I haven't checked it for accuracy but it seems to be pretty good just judging by size of fish and weight it reads. The app is horrible. You still have to manually enter all the information, it doesn't log anything for you. It doesn't connect that well, and the camera function doesn't always work. I've tried emailing the manufacturer only to have emails returned as the emaill address is no longer valid. Better off just buying a regular scale, because that's about all the use you will get out of this.

Product isn't what it says. You are not able to log data because you are not allowed to create an account. The app won't allow you to verify an email because it doesn't send a verification email. I've tried 3 different email accounts multiple times and 1 day later still have not received one email. If you are looking for a fish gripper with a scale this might work okay, but I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. But since I do own other fish grippers and other scales, I will comment on an obvious design flaw. This product needs a wrist lanyard for when big fish try to shake off and you lose grip. If this happens over water, the fish will never get it off.

Amazon Customer : Not water proof. Blue tooth application doesn’t work very smoothly.

Had it for a year. Worked okay at first. Sometimes it wouldn’t power on. Not water proof. Exposed the unit to am little water and now there’s moisture in the display window. Unit no longer works. Blue tooth app wasn’t very good either. Won’t buy again.

The scale itself works well. I like the grip. It's also pretty easy to operate. My problem with it is that the app won't work for me. When I try to sign in it says I need to verify my email but yet it won't send me an email to verify it. With that said it's still one of the best scales I've used.
