John Martin : I never go fishing in the summer without these.

These long worms are great for coaxing big bass to bite in the summer heat! I Texas rig these with a 5/0 Gamakatsu EWG Superline hook and a 1/4oz lead bullet weight. Cast it out and retrieve moderately slow so it doesn't sink too far or rise too high. Let that beautiful strike king rage tail do its work. That's it! BAM!! Big Mammas love these things! I've tried a few colors but Black is the only one that works for me, even in fairly clear water. Most of my 5, 6, and 7lb bass have been caught on these puppies in the middle of summer. If you take them out around 1am after a hot day to a spot you know holds big bass, it's almost a guaranteed hook up! When everyone else is still throwing crankbait and jigs in mid summer and catching 2lbers, the bigger bass want bigger meals. Because it's a subtle bait, they generally won't swim far to get it, so make sure you know a good spot that holds big bass before you rig one of these up.
