Is the lure itself 8oz as it says in the description?

Answer: I don't have a scale to weigh it, but I will say that it doesn't feel like a 1/2 lb. lure. It is about 4 inches long and has pretty good size hooks on it. Has been a great laugh for people that have seen it though.

Answer: I don't believe it's an 8oz bait. I tried to weigh it and I couldn't even get it to read. It's hollow so it's pretty light overall. I would compare it to normal walking bait. If you are planning on fishing it... I don't think it will last long and it's promoted (on the back) as being a gag gift and not to fish with it. Hope this helps!
