My Vesta Precision works flawlessly with any and every "other" brand product just better and quieter than my old Foodsaver Vac 'n Seal. The old Foodsaver model NEVER held a charge and was so loud I worried it would make me deaf even with earplugs. I use it daily and have never had to recharge it after the first charge. This unit is so superior.

Answer: Yes. You do it the same as with other food. The liquid stays below the top of the bag because the chamber is shaped to keep the liquid low and the sealer high. One word of caution; do not do this with hot liquids. Let them cool first. The boiling point is way lower in vacuum than it is in our normal atmosphere. Physics.

I love vacuum sealers but hate a huge unit of my countertop. I have used a little Fresh Saver rechargeable vacuum sealer for four years or so. It never held a charge. I had to leave it plugged into the wall and I would disconnect the cord at the unit to be able to use it then plug it right back in. It was so loud I kept earplugs in a little medicine zip bag in the drawer to try to save my hearing. It worked, but poorly at best.
I currently live mostly alone since my husband had to take a job out of state. I like variety so I use staples slowly. I find vacuum sealers really useful for preventing freezer burn and store all my staples in mason jars by vacuuming the flat sealer tops using the "FoodSaver Wide Mouth Jar Sealer" (If saving staples DO NOT BUY REGULAR SMALL MOUTH JARS OR TOPS).
I love USB rechargables. I find them so superior to wall rechargables. Maybe it is just the difference in the battery set up. When I saw this unit I decided to try it and have been so pleased. This is item is so superior to what I was using. I just love it.
I currently live mostly alone since my husband had to take a job out of state. I like variety so I use staples slowly. I find vacuum sealers really useful for preventing freezer burn and store all my staples in mason jars by vacuuming the flat sealer tops using the "FoodSaver Wide Mouth Jar Sealer" (If saving staples DO NOT BUY REGULAR SMALL MOUTH JARS OR TOPS).
I love USB rechargables. I find them so superior to wall rechargables. Maybe it is just the difference in the battery set up. When I saw this unit I decided to try it and have been so pleased. This is perfect for the small jobs of resealing the zipper closing resealing bags. But it is not for big jobs. It saves me from having to haul out the big vaccum sealer for those small jobs.

very handy, pulls vacuum to 450mbar - nice small unit fits in a small drawer. The integral rubber gasket makes it general-purpose, and it works with Vacu Vin bottle stoppers. You MIGHT have to push the stopper down to keep the pump from pulling it apart.
EDIT: well now it pulled a different jar down to 210mbar so I don't really know what the limit is. But it is good enough for me. You can loosely judge the suction by the pitch of the whine.
only been a couple weeks but so far so good. USB-C power connection.
I've been manually pumping for years so this is pretty luxurious.

This machine does not hold a charge, it must be connected to power source at all times. It does seal well so far though.

I have had this for over a month and have used it almost every day. I bought it because of the size, it takes up very little room in my kitchen. So far, it has done everything I need it to, and I haven't even needed to recharge it yet. It has been very useful. Great purchase!

It took a hot minute to figure out the right spot and angle to hold this against the bag, but it works well. I’ve had the big vacuum sealer countertop machine and I prefer this one. It’s much quieter than the big machine and I think it’s easier to use. I used it right out of the box with it on the charger. You do have to get the end of it to the hole in the bag just right to start suctioning out the air, but it’s very quick to find. I used the bags that are sold by the same company. The bags are reusable too so that helps.

I’ve used a Reynold’s one for years and dropped it. Since they don’t make it anymore need to find one that works with that style bag. This one works beautifully. I love that it has a rechargeable battery. So convenient

I like this better than other handheld pumps I've used. It works on the reusable bags and some other containers. I wish it turned off automatically when a certain vacuum level is achieved. You can hear the difference in sound, but even that is subtle.

My Fresh Saver handheld vacuum died, and are no longer made. I used it to seal mason jars, so I need a string vacuum.

This vacuum sealer was quite a surprise! It's small but powerful - works as well as my standard-sized vacuum sealer. Because its so convenient, I'll be using this regularly now. My biggest problem was figuring out how to open the vacuum sealer bags! The opening is not at the top like zip lock bags - you can't just pull the sides apart and slip the food in. The top is sealed with the opening about 1 inch down. I struggled getting the bag open and completely sealed. When I finally did, the mini sealer took care of business. I live on Amazon and this was 1 of my best purchases.

Great Vacuum sealer for Foodsaver bags. Easy to use and cleaning was easy. My previous vacuum sealer I owned plugged into an electric outlet, I like the rechargeable feature on this one much better.

This vacuum sealer seems to work really great once you get it positioned right on the bags, pretty powerful suction. While it comes with a few bags, I also bought a box of their bags to use to store frozen home-made dog food in, and to try in my new Souse Vide cooking attempts
