Whats the difference between regular fatom and the level wind. What rod should i pair if im going to get size 25 or 30?

Answer: Levelwind mechanically lays down line evenly, non-levelwind has to be done manually. Many prefer non-Levelwind for casting and for powerful species that pull very hard and can break the mechanism.

Answer: Hi. I used for surubi from Argentina... I catch one of 70 lbs without problem.... but tuna is faster than it... Its a very good machine... you will not have any problem

Will this catch Bluefin Tuna?

Answer: I think it’s too light duty for blue fin. IMO

Answer: So I’m S. Cal the schools are very mixed in size. They are running from 20-200lbs. It will do a nice job on a tuna under 50lbs but over that it will struggle!! If you are looking for bluefin you would be better off with the Fathom 2 speed that is not a level wind. 30 is an ok size but 40 would cover your bases even better depending on what you are gunning for. Overall the Fathoms line is a very good reel at a reasonable price.
