Questions about KOIOS Vacuum Sealer Machine, 80Kpa Automatic Food Sealer with Cutter for Food Savers, 10 Sealing Bags, With Up To 40 Consecutive Seals, Dry & Moist Modes, Compact Design (Silver)
Q:
Can someone recommend replacement bags?
Answer: We use Foodsaver but I think any sealable roll bags would work. You can cut it to any size you need right in the machine. We used to have a Foodsaver machine but like this one much better. And it is less expensive too which is always nice. We had some leftover Foodsaver bags and they work fine.
Q:
will this sealer re-seal a bag of lettuce/salad or other items bought at the store that comes in a plastic bag?
Answer: Smooth bags can only be sealed without vacuuming. I recommend for KOIOS special vacuum bags with textured for Vac-seal.
Q:
Does it come with a warranty?
Answer: COMES WITH A 1 YEAR WARRANTY BUT WHEN YOU REGISTER THE PRODUCT THEY GIVE YOU 2 YEARS
Q:
What is the sponge thing (kind of double that is hooked on each end) that came in the box? I see nothing in the user manual regarding it. Thanks!
Answer: They are kind enough to give you a spare. Same for the little rubber feet. Trying to replace parts like this would probably be tough. Working great
Answer: what is the clear tube with tan adapters at each end?
Answer: I think it's an extra sponge to make the seal in case the first receives damage. I just saved it.
Answer: It is an extra seal for the vacuum chamber
Q:
What else in the package besides the machine? Is there a bag cutter?
Answer: yes there is a cutter. It stores inside the machine. was a happy surprise when I found it. (open the machine like you are going to seal a bag...it is stored in there...is about the size of a silver dollar coin.) It also comes with the hose attachment to seal vacuum jars/containers. Haven't used that yet.
Answer: It came with an extra gasket, 10 special bags, a delicate cutter and a pumping pipe in the original package. So far, so good.
Answer: is the cutter part of the machine or separate?
Q:
I am not able to get this to work Is there a trick to the vacuum/seal?
Answer: I find that you need to make sure the bag to be sealed is cut clean and straight. Both sides of the outer portion of the bag to be sealed are clean and dry. Lay the bag and assure it is flat on the heating element and close the door making sure you press on both sides until it clicks. Press the vacuum and seal button. Should run its cycle completely and auto shut off. Press lock release bottoms and open doors. The product should vacuumed sealed.
Answer: I don’t know I sent it back. Decided to get new seals for my other one.
Q:
What does up to 30 consecutive seals mean? What happend after 30? And 'there will be a replacement sealing sponge'- do they wear out?
Answer: It simply means that you "should" be able to vac & seal 30 bags, before you have to stop to let it cool down.
Answer: It means you can seal 30 bags in a row without overheating or damaging the pump.
Answer: I have no idea what this is referring. I use this unit several times a week and have had no problems
Q:
Can I vacuum-seal warm prepared meals or I must wait until they are cold?
Answer: I only sealed cold or room temperature items.
Q:
can this work with liquid like foods such as chili?
Answer: I pré-freeze things like chili, soups, stews etc. I keep plastic containers just for this purpose in 2 different sizes, rectangular in shape. Pop the food out when frozen and vacuum seal in a bag. really easy to stack in freezer this way.
Answer: You can do this however I would suggest using a deep bag where the chili can sit in the bottom. You can use the suction to a point then stop it and seal. You don't want the liquid to be sucked into the machine.
Answer: yes. it has a setting for wet or dry food.
Answer: yes there is a setting for "wet" food. The vacuum is reduced
Answer: My suggestion would be to freeze the chili in serving bowls. Once frozen, pop out of bowl and freeze the frozen chili in your vacuum bags in perfect portions to serve.
Q:
Are Foodsaver hoses compatible with this sealer?
Answer: Yes I think that are. Mine fit.
Q:
is there a better user manual? I don't know how to use the tube thing.....
Answer: Find the hole the tube is used for attaching to jar seals to vacuam seal the jars
Answer: I have the same problem I regret this buy
Q:
Just got this but the qr code for the warranty does not work and i can’t find o line how to register. anybody have any luck lately?
Answer: I didn't have a problem with it
Q:
Is there a roll storage compartment?
Answer: No, there isn't a storage compartment.
Answer: Not that I have seen. I have mine in the cabinet with all our bags.
Answer: I bought sealer as a gift , sorry do not know.. lady is very happy with sealer
Q:
Is it better to take meat out of the store packaging before sealing?
Answer: I have always taken my meats out of the store packing before sealing.
Answer: yes unless it’s vacuum packed.
Answer: I would take it out
Q:
If you use a bag roll do you seal both ends?
Answer: You seal one end. Place the food inside. Then press seal and vaccum and seal the other side
Answer: Yes!
Answer: Yes duh
Q:
what is the bag size this will accept
Answer: it will accept all size bags
Q:

Answer: Use the code VS20POFF in the discount code area.
Q:
Can any of these be sealed on the Moist setting: stews, spaghetti sauce, meat in thick sauce, soups?
Answer: I have not tried it on stuff this "Moist..." but I used it for my pulled pork with sauce inside. Id just make sure it really is sealed. it couple of mine took a few times sealing to actual seal. could be operator error, too.
Answer: Try freezing in shallow bowls and, then remove the frozen stew, sauce, or soup and vacuum seal it.
Answer: I tried sealing greens after cooking and draining them, but it overflowed and spilled all over the counter and didn't seal because it was too wet. I would recommend at least a partial freeze before sealing.
Answer: I think so! But the soup I have not tried before
Answer: Yes, I believe so.

Answer: yes

Q:
Ready to return.Only have ever had Foodsave - cannot for the life of me figure out how to vacuum seal with this - and no instructions in manual...HELP
Answer: Ok. You don't have to return it. Take the bag with your food in it and lay the opening into the tray, the long opening tray near the hot brown strip at the front when you open the device. You look at it and can't figure out how it removed the air but it does. Making sure you have preheated it, shut the lid and push the button that says vacuum seal...also, lock it for safety. It will stop automatically and it will seal and seal well. I can't figure out how it does but it does. Please let me know if it worked. I just walked through the process to make sure I was telling you correctly.
Answer: I was confused by the just seal function because up until now I only used the vacuum&seal function. What I didn’t realize is that the seal only function (the gray button on the left) is quiet. At first I thought it was broken. As well, you have to make sure the end of the bag you are trying to seal has some room at the top. Also make sure you are closing the machine well. Push hard if you have to until you hear both sides click into place. Other tips include, making sure the bag edge is straight and not wet. Hope this helps.
Answer: Press the right button
Q:
how often to youe the seal?
Answer: I've never "to youe the seal"
Answer: At least once a day. I love it I just bought a bunch of steaks and roast had one of the roasts ground into Hamburg and bagged all of it. Put it in the freezer. It works perfectly every time. Before this one o ordered adifferent one it was the worst every time I tried to seal anything it would melt the bag and the seal was no good. So I decided to fine a new one and send it back. I watched video read about different ones before I made my decision on this one. Can’t go wrong. Best of luck!
Answer: what is the question?
Q:
Has anyone used this with salad? I was looking for a compatible cannister to use the hose attachment but can't find any on Amazon. Anyone have ideas?
Answer: This has an bonus device to remove air from canisters... you should be able to put salad in a bag and use this device. One tip when sealing salad in a bag... insert a white paper towel before sealing. This will help to keep your lettuce from turning brown.

Answer: Yes, with the proper adapter. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016OL1AB6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Answer: Not quite sure that’s a relevant
Q:
I purchased and was unable to get the bag to seal automatically. I had to push the seal button. I find this different than the description?
Answer: You're joking, right. Automatic means you push the button, the vacuum sealer vacuums, the sealer seals the bag and shuts off when finished. All in one operation. Like your car has a automatic transmission, that doesn't mean you don't have to start the engine and put it in gear, does it?

Answer: Mine will not seal automatically either. I must press the seal button to complete the job.
Answer: It won't auto seal if you have it on moist, it only auto seals on dry mode.
Answer: Yes I did too! Other than that it works great for me

Product reviews of KOIOS Vacuum Sealer Machine, 80Kpa Automatic Food Sealer with Cutter for Food Savers, 10 Sealing Bags, With Up To 40 Consecutive Seals, Dry & Moist Modes, Compact Design (Silver)
Bookish : Updated 1-Star Review
Updated Review: After leaving a 1 star review, the seller contacted me and asked to send me a (free) replacement machine if I would re-evaluate the product's performance. The new machine is A LOT better! It's honestly like a completely different product. The suction is very good, a lot better than my other (cheaper) vacuum sealer.
I vac/sealed 3 vacuum seal bags with no problems or issues (1 moist and 2 dry). I then tried vac/sealing mylar bags of rice and (quite surprisingly) I didn't have any issues there either! I double seal, and sometimes triple seal, my mylar bags just to be on the safe side since they are for storing food for more than 20 years.
I'll try and remember to update in a year and let you know how the machine stands up to time.
Original One-Star Review: I was excited to get this as it was my first, very own vacuum sealer for my new home. I've used plenty of them through the years, so I know how they work and what to do. I tried to seal 5 items with this machine the day it was delivered. The first bag went okay, it took awhile for it to suction but it did remove the air and sealed it. Bags 2-5 were all failures. It would either suck all the air out and then fail to seal the bag or it would suck all the air, the vacuum suction would stop, and air would seep into the bag right before the machine sealed the bag. It's not user error, I've used these machines for years with no issues and I even broke out the instructions booklet to insure I was in fact doing everything correctly. I also had my boyfriend attempt to seal a couple bags and he couldn't get it to work either. I returned this product.
Dlee : It does what it should effortlessly
It will do the job nicely. Vacuums and/or seals with just the light touch of a button that is lit to tell you it is working. It does not get any easier than that. Line the bag up correctly and be amazed at how well it seals to keep the food in the best frozen condition. Simple and straight forward printed directions accompany the product in the box but you can also download the manual if that is your preference. I bought this to replace a broken high end model and current prices made it anything but a bargain so I went looking and found this treasure.
James Townsend : Saves your Bulk Items
Got this item to replace our previous seeler that finally gave up. This was about half the price of what we expected to pay for the level of item needed. So, I was a bit hesitant. However, it arrived quickly and in perfect condition. We put it to work the same night by vacuum individually sealing a bulk purchase of boneless chicken breasts. It was quick and easy once we got the hang of it. The buttons are straight forward. But, getting the bag lined up and free of any moisture, at the point of sealing was a bit tricky at first. This gadget worked very well once we got it going, but it did present itself as being a bit pickier in it's operations compared to high dollar vacuum sealers. If you were to use this daily, I would say, save yourself a bit of the headache and go for a better model. But, if you only use it perhaps twice a month after a bulk grocery trip, it does the job to satisfaction. It did come with some bags for sealing, as a "starter pack" type thing. So, we will have to get more. Once we see the results given from using other brand sealer bags, I can update my review more thoroughly. Overall, nice gadget for the occasional user.
Vir Cotto : Fine - until it stopped working
The machine is pretty minimal and it worked as expected for two years - nothing special. Over the last couple of months it slowly started not switching to "seal" mode at the end of the vacuum process. Would just keep running until it timed out and didn't engage the sealing. The seal works manually. The gaskets were all cleaned and free of any liquid or solids. Not worth the money. Buying a more robust and higher quality machine as a replacement. It received relatively light use (couple times a week at most).
B.G. : Very practible machine for storing foods
This unit has plenty of suction. I've used bulk food saver bags and rolls and it works just fine. It helps to freeze juicy foods first to prevent liquids from sucking past the heat seal strip. It causes it to seal improperly and is not the fault of the vaccume sealer. Tip: leave two or three extra inches room in the bag. it will seal better than trying to seal an over stuffed bag. then flatten down the bag for compact storage in the freezer. On small draw back is that the lid can be a little hard to push down before sealing. Overall, I think this is a very nice machine and a value for the money.
Happicamper : Saves time, money and space!
First time purchasing and using a vacuum sealer. I’m so happy with this machine. I chose it bcc of the great reviews and it definitely lives up to the hype! The directions are useless so, YouTubed it and started sealing in seconds. We sealed fresh asparagus and blueberries. Then fresh fish and steaks, (tip: freeze the fish and meat prior to sealing to avoid any juices getting sucked into the machine). It is so nice to buy from the”big box” store without wasting expensive, quality food! I think this will definitely cut our food bill 25-30% and save trips to the store. Also, we have a tiny freezer so, I took our frozen boxed food out of their boxes, cut out the heating instructions, slid everything in a bag and resealed. It only took 5 minutes, and the result: It saved SO much room in our freezer and now we can find everything too!
Steve K : Insufficient Vacuum power on 4th bag
Regardless of the willingness of the supplier to probably send me another unit, if I buy something that fails to work properly after the 4th use, I lose far too much confidence to try another (1 trip to the UPS store to return is enough). On that 4th bag, the "Vacuum & Seal" just vacuumed, and did not seal (similarly noted by some other reviewers). I liked the price, but will go back to Food Saver, which costs far more but lasted a long time. I also bought a Crenova, but it failed after about 15 bags...and I don't use these more than 15-20 bags per year.
Tori : Does not vacuum or seal.
We bought this because of the amazing reviews it received, but the product did not live up to the reviews. We recently bought a bunch of fresh meat and wanted to portion it out into smaller serving sizes now that there are just two people in the house. We started trying to vacuum seal the meat and it took us multiple attempts to get the machine to actually vacuum and seal the bags. Sometimes, it would only partially vacuum. Other times, it would not vacuum seal at all. The machine would run and seal itself, but not remove the air from the bag. For every one successful vacuum and seal, we had 3-4 failures. We followed all the instructions and even went through all the troubleshooting steps we found online, but nothing seemed to help. We also could not find one specific technique that worked. It just seemed completely random as to whether or not it would work. I would not recommend this product. Additionally, it took some significant pressure to even close the machine for sealing. If you needed to seal a number of bags, it could get really difficult.
Lisa S : Took a chance and I'm really happy
After reading reviews I thought I would give this version a shot over the main brand. I love it. It works really well and has sealed perfectly every time. I have had it almost 4 months and use it multiple times a week. It has done a great job or pulling the air out and nothing has gotten freezer burn. The only bad thing is to lock it you have to push down pretty hard on the 2 sides. This can be kinda hard to do alone if I am holding a heavy bag of something liquidly, like spaghetti sauce. I can do it alone but I usually just ask a kid for help.

Slogg9 : Satisfied! Instructions are terrible though
I had to burn through about 5-10 bags before I could get it to work, but once I figured it out, it's pretty awesome! The hardest part is figuring out where to align the open end inside the machine. Instructions (which are garbage) says to put it along the "top edge" of the black weatherstripping. Well, the strip is oval shaped, so logically I assumed it meant the farther edge. Nope. Maybe the bottom edge? Wrong again. You need to fold the open end down towards the bottom of the machine, and align against the those two little prongs in the middle of the black oval. Done. Love it.
Russ Lane : A great home-kitchen worthy sealer that needs better directions f
This was docked a star for directions — I felt like Zoolander trying to make sense of them (…the files are in the computer?) — but once I sorted out how this is supposed to work it did an great job for small home kitchen sealing options. This is not intended for large scale productions, and shouldn’t be expected as such at this price point.
But quality wise, once I got it working, proved a godsend very quickly and perfect for my needs, and I REALLY appreciate the cutter not being attached to the device as in some models — it made it far, far easier to cut and the storage slot and cutter size make it hard to misplace, which was an extremely thoughtful touch.
C.S. : ****Read my update~don’t buy from them
*****UPDATE
second item didn’t work out of box, they claimed to send a new one but two weeks later, nothing. When they sent replacement before, they begged for a good review and then offers to send me money to buy and post good reviews. Wth? I think it’s a scam company.
I bought this months ago and must say that item is great. The vacuum sealer keeps food fresh or great for sous vide. The machine is easy to use and small enough to tuck in drawers.
I loved item because it was so easy to use. After a few months, the machine stopped working but KOIOS has great customer service, they offered an immediate replacement. They believe in their items and customer support.
Ralph : Fantastic! Top quality vacuum sealer machine!
I bought one food vacuum sealer at JCPenney a couple of years ago and I got frustrated because it didn't vacuum enough and it didn't seal right. Almost ten years after I need one curing meat dry at home and I began shopping around online. This KOIOS Vacuum Sealer Machine caught my attention because it's automatic. I saw some videos reviewing it in youtube and I got fascinated how simple it was to operate it and how much fast it vacuum the air from the bags, so I got it in amazon, just for $ 64.47. I applied a 20% coupon and minus some bucks I had in my amazon account I ended up paying $ 49.41. I received my vacuum yesterday and today I enjoyed part of my day off preparing some pork ribs for curing. After that I sealed the ribs in one of the larger bags came with the product and placed in the refrigerator. I was very surprised how fast the bag with the ribs was vacuum and sealed and all just pressing one button. I'm very excited with this vacuum sealer machine. I recorded a video while using it to show it to my coworkers. I will buying some rolls of bags to began vacuum and sealing other products... I will continue uploading videos and updating this review as soon I continue using this item.
Unfortunately I can only upload 1 video per review, so I uploaded this video today 05/22/2021 because it's better than the one previously uploaded.

AC : Great!
I ordered this after my third food saver stopped working. It had great reviews and thought I would give it a try. I am a bulk cooker. So I use it all day long and then don't use it again until about 6 months later. My first time using it I bagged 2 whole chickens, 6 chicken breast and 30 hamburger patties. This worked flawless ! It is easier to use than my last one, has better suction and seals better! I'm sold!! Takes up less room in my pantry too. I bought 2 by mistake but I'm keeping the other one for backup and because the price was so good! Also comes with an extra seal, very nice.
Done. Love it.
Advait Apte : Perfect food sealer every kitchen needs!
This is a lightweight vacuum sealer that sits nicely on your kitchen top and is ready for sealing food. It comes with 10 starter bags of two different sizes and can be used for either dry or wet foods. The sealing mechanism is perfect, be careful not to touch the hot surface after finishing. A nicely tucked away cutter is stored inside a which can be used to cut the storage bag to desired size. Though it works fine, I would prefer an integrated cutter as part of the sealing mechanism. There is a cord management space at the bottom which allows clutter free storage of the power cord. The bags are sealed very well and I observed no leaks. The bags need to be bought separately once you exhaust the ones that came with it. I like the vacuum sealer for food storage purpose.
Marissa Ivy : Great looking and compact though not as powerful as some larger vacuum sealers
I am happy with this vacuum sealer overall though wish it pulled more of a vacuum. This is great looking and doesn't take up much space on the counter though it is not sealing as well as the larger unit I had used for years. The bags don't "shrink" around the item as tightly making it appear that it may not be preserving the item as well so perhaps the item's life in the freezer may not be as strong. I had hoped to replace my larger one with this one though for bigger projects where I need to be sure it's truly pulling a strong vacuum or to do a number of items in succession--it looks as if I'll be keeping the other one, as well.
PlantsGalore : Quick and Easy
I have to say I have been overdue for a new food sealer. I used to have to put ALL my weight on it, to latch it. I have lot of health issues and nerve damage in my hands, so to have some ease using a sealer is great.THIS ONE Is SO easy to use, and the little cutter that is tucked inside is really helpfull as well. I have used the sealer at least 30 times already, and no problems.
Michael Molinaro : Poor design and performance
Did not seal automatically about half the time. Suction was low so it took a long time to evacuate the air from the bag before it could attempt to seal it. In most cases the bags needed to be sealed manually after the vacuum did not automatically switch to the seal mode.

sojourner : I can't believe I've been living without this.
All those bad memories of looking at expensive vacuum sealing products at Sam's club have now faded into the distance. Now, when I walk past the $200.00 units at the Club's, , I smile and feel somewhat smart because I found this sealer at a fraction of the cost. Even the bags on Amazon are much lower priced. Aside from the awesome value and performance of this unit, the actual result cant be beat. I watched a few youtube videos on how to use this. In only thirty minutes, I had 14 pounds of Rib-Eye steaks, each cut to 10 ounces, sealed and in the freezer! I used my nifty Wiskars paper cutter to cut the bags without need for scissors or the little cutter that comes with this unit. I did use the provided cutter and it works well. I just prefer the paper cutter because I can instantly get a straight cut and always the same length. No crooked cuts. I did learn that a few bags were not sealing because I wasnt inserting the bag all the way into the sealer. Also, I pre-froze all the steaks overnite which made sealing an absolute delight. No blood or liquids made it easy. I also sealed portions of chocklate to be boiled in bag for camping. I'm gonna stick my head on the tracks by trying to seal burritos, then boil them in bag! Good for seagulls also, I think.
Jim : Nice product and will save money
Used it twice. Once to seal pork chops and the other to seal chicken. Sealed pork chops like a champ by removing all the air. My wife and I also like to af a little marinade (Goya) to our chicken then seal it up. Think it would do the same as the pork chops I was wrong. It did pull some of the air it and sealed well. Thought it would suck all the air out and make a little mess, but did not. We sealed 3 chicken bags in total sl same results. Will be ok for the chicken in the freezer just not for a long time. Also just sealed up some bananas chips and it removed all the air. So maybe it is just really wet stuff it doesn't like. Great product, very easy to use and love the locking mechanisms on both side to get a good seal.
Amazon Customer : It will do the job.
I needed something that wasn't expensive but could keep my food from going bad. I like to buy in bulk since the cost is cheaper than constantly buying little by little at the market but we don't go through the food fast enough. I spent 4 hours packaging all the food into bags and really test this machine out. I used it on large meats, fruit, veggies, bread and even herbs.
Pros: 1. Its not the cheapest nor is it the most expensive. It was between this one and Amazon's top choice for one that was only $20 which had decent reviews. 2. Its not really bulky and can fit in a drawer IF you dont have anything else in it. 3. Works Fast 4. Can do multiple items back to back with out waiting in between.
Cons: 1. It's not as slim as the cheaper models for storage. 2. There isn't a option to hold the "suction" for as long as YOU want, its pretty much timed for about 30 sec-1 min and it automatically switches to "Seal" to close the bag. I used this on fruit, and the first few bags crushed the fruit completely as well as my bagels. 3. If you're using the storage rolls to make your own "bags" you really have to guess to what is too much room and too little "excess" at the ends because the machine will just continue to pull the air out forever if you dont stop it.
** After 1 week of all my items being stored and finally opening some of them***
->The fruit I sealed and placed in the freezer tasted fine after using them for a frozen smoothie, however I wouldn't recommend doing this and then thawing it to eat like "fresh fruit". The juices from the fruit were squeezed out from the machine which made a syrup like bubble around the fruit. ->My herbs were well preserved. Separate them into sections for best results instead of trying to store a bunch at once. ->My veggies had a slight watery residue after unsealing the package. I'm not sure if it was because they were not dried after washing them completely or if it was because the machine didnt completely pull ALL the air from the bag and left room for condensation to develop. -> So far no frost has developed on the meat I've stored. -> The bagels I saved were crushed from the air being pulled out, but if you stop the suction mid way and press the "seal" button before it gets crushed it will work just fine.
I would recommend the "TWO ROLLS" of plastic that Amazon recommends to make your own bags. Its less expensive that pre package bags, and you can make any size you want. I've barely used half a roll when I packaged, 3 Large containers of fruit, 5 different herbs, 5 different veggies, 13 bagels, 2 racks of ribs, 4 different packages of chicken.
This would be a good buy if you are looking for something that does the job, but isn't professional grade vacuum sealer. It's not the cheapest, but its not crazy expensive. This was still worth the buy. There was so many to choose from online, but after everything this was still my #1 choice.
Alldogz : Use it quick before you register!
Going to have to come back to this. Just got it yesterday, had to post review to get free rolls before i am able to put it through its paces so i will revisit my review and update UPDATE: Finally used it for baked chicken thighs. I had returned a foodsaver( not purchased on Amazon) because it failed miserably at sealing anything other than dry peanuts. I baked the thighs, cooled to room temp( probably cooling in fridge is better) but it did seal well and i didn't have to use the moist setting. Instructions are not clear at all. And you do have to press the lid to hear the two clicks. When i do the tenderloins i will re post because that also was a fail with two previous food saver brands. It did spear to draw fluid up in the bag but there was no fluid in the tray and the seal was clear. I think patting dry and/ or cooling in fridge( to solidify juices) would be better but sa far i am very pleased. Changing from 3 to 5 stars!
Joshua A. Lake : Lasted about 2.5 years
Used this for 2.5 years before it would no longer suck out the air. I would consider myself a light duty user, occasional leftovers and meat sealing when purchasing bulk packs of raw meat. I've purchased several of these suction type sealers over the last decade, which all seem to have about the same lifespan. I'm tired of purchasing these things every few years and am going to upgrade to a chamber style sealer. Hoping for a longer lifespan...
Miguel Etheridge : Works well and seems to be a good value.
We have just received this unit today and have only used it once just to see how well it worked. I like this product but it could be improved by adding the following. A built in cutter a bag roll holder and a removable cleaning tray as my old unit had and it needs better foot pads to hold the unit in place while using. We're also a little concerned with the amount of pressure required to lock the unit down. All that said the unit seems to work well and we hope it's durable. The price for the unit is better I expected.
Mickey C : Low End Chinese Product
This unit suffered a catastrophic failure at just one year. I called the manufacturer and they seem polite enough. After several back-and-forth emails they agree to send a replacement. Months later the replacement has yet to arrive. Sent a second email and was treated politely again. Assured that I would receive a replacement in 4 to 6 days. Never happened!
The motor engages but the unit fails to draw any sort of vacuum. They asked me to send them a video and I did of the unit malfunctioning. I have since ordered a food saver and I highly recommend that others do likewise. This unit is definitely not for the long-haul.
On a separate note, it seems odd that Amazon is unwilling to entertain product assessments that detail the failures of the seller as far as replacing the product in question, follow up emails and general business ethics. I wonder why that is?.
Wonky Bristols : Flimsy flimsy flimsy. See pics.
I owned my vacuum sealer only 5 months before the little trigger knob on the right corner of the lid broke off. I don’t even know how this happened. The machine won’t activate without the little knob, and the way it’s shaped makes it impossible to glue back. Now the machine is useless :(
8/18/20 Update: I found an earring stopper which I was able to shimmy some glue into the hollow opening and successfully glue where the trigger knob had been. That got the machine working again. It is now only a few months later and my machine has a few more major defects. The part of the lid that attaches to the hinge has cracked on both sides, including the underside of the lid (see pictures, no amount of glue could fix it.) I love a good bargain, but it is clear this was not one. It is simply poorly built and the materials used do not take into consideration the type of force needed to seal properly. There is no way for me to repair this new problem, and, frankly, I shouldn’t have to. Extremely disappointed. And this is the first time I’ve had a product purchased on Amazon fall apart like this.
Amazon Customer : It is durable
I am new to vacuum sealers I have never owned one. This vacuum sealer for the price is amazing it does a great job vacuum sealing my beef jerky. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to buy it.

Chey : works great!
This sealer works great, exactly what I needed to preserve my harvest from the garden and seal food in the deep freezer. to keep it fresh. This company has great customer service, if you have any issues contact them and they will help you right away.
Michelle McRoberts : Amazing and affordable
My family and I have always bought our meat in bulk and just lut it in a ziplock bag and throw it in the freezer. A month later the meat was freezer burnt. My wife said to find a vacuum sealer. I did some reading up and there were tons of great reviews for this product and was very affordable. After 30Lbs of beef and 20lbs of chicken i will never give this product up. My wife calls it my new favorite toy.

chris : good for now.
good product, i use it to keep food fresh and prep food to freeze. I feel the build quality could be an issue later down the road because the clamps or locking mechanism feel a bit flimsy.
SmokinYoda : Perfect upgrade to my old FoodSaver sealer!
I've had a FoodSaver vacuum sealer for well over a decade, and after so much time and use the thing finally died. I spent a long time looking for something new and eventually decided to go with this Koios sealer. I was skeptical at first, but after using it for a few weeks I am extremely satisfied. It's smaller than I expected and fits nicely on my kitchen counter. It's got a much more modern look than the plain white old bulky FoodSaver that I had before. It's also much quieter, too. It isn't silent, not by any means, but it's not overly obnoxious either and you can still have a conversation with someone while it's in use. The little bag cutter inside is a surprisingly handy little addition as well. Even better, not only did the Koios vacuum sealer come with a bug bunch of storage bags, but it worked perfectly with the existing rolls of bags I already had. I'm completely happy with this thing, and I really hope it lasts a long time.

BJA : This sealer was a nice size but it is too noisy for me
This sealer was a nice size but it is too noisy for me. I have to process the vacuum/sealer feature a couple of times before it works correctly. It is ok for my first sealer.

Drew : Dissapointed and returning
Suction power is lacking and bubbles seem to need to be pressed out most of the time. Sealer does not initiate 50% of the time after vacuuming, see attached video. You can easily press seal after the vacuum and seal button short cycles but air gets back in, affecting freshness and absence of oxygen levels.
Chris L : Great product
I just started using the sealer today, so have only used it to seal one item. It did well, we'll see how it continues to perform. EDIT: Been using the vacuum sealer for a few months and it has worked great. It really gets all the air out of the bags and has a function for both dry and moist content. It even has a tube that connects to a nipple in the sealer that allows you to reseal wine bottles or similar type bottles/containers--I haven't used that yet as I don't drink wine! The machine seems well built and works pretty fast, both on the vacuuming and the sealing. I like the fact that you can also seal without using the vacuuming function, like when you just want to seal a bag without vacuuming it (this is good for liquids). Once I ordered the product, I was sent an email stating it comes with a two year warranty and if you fill out the warranty electronically, you get a set of free storage bags. I filled it out, but never received the bags. Using Koios' chat on their website, John helped me get the product registered, confirmed the two-year warranty (website says one year), and ensured me I would receive the complementary bags in a week or so (thanks, John!). I definitely recommend this product and if you ever have to contact Koios, try to get hooked up with John!
Sonoguy : Great! Better than I had hoped it would be.
I used a different brand for years, but this one is easier and much better quality. It is smaller too and provides a tighter seal. I'm very happy with it.
Update. Did not use this for a year. Got it out today. The pump came on and then immediately quit. The buttons light up, but no pumping. I used this a hand full of times and now it's out of warranty. Can't recommend it.
Another update. Since this was out of warranty I decided to try and fix this myself. Since the pump quit working, I focused there. I worked the armature for a few rotations and then tried again. It worked. I did a few bags and it quit again. I repeated the process and it worked again. Good part, I can get it going. Bad part, looks like I may have to disassemble it each time. Not convenient. Can't buy this brand again.
Sam I Am : Great features/great price
I have been using vacuum sealing systems for years. My first was in the late 70s and it was called Daisey something. I had been using Foodsaver systems, but decided I wanted to try something less expensive. I chose this model during Amazon days in July and got pretty good deal. I have used it to vacuum pack dehydrated veggies and fruit, citric acid (which I buy in bulk for canning), and meat. I have also used it to vacuum pack items in half gallon and quart jars like tortilla chips (bought in bulk at Costco), flour, and coffee beans. So far this item has performed very well. My only concern is that I have to press buttons on the side of the unit for it to work properly. I can see those breaking over time. We will see.
Miguel Etheridge : Works well and seems to be a good value.

Mark Hendrickson : Looks great, great value
Just received my vacuum sealer. Have not yet used it but anticipate it working great.
Now after having used it several times I can report that it works great. I had two early vacuum sealers, foodsavers, when they were first introduced many years ago. My experience was that they failed to seal, you could usually get an adequate seal on the bottom of the roll cut bag, but getting any sort of seal that held on the open end was nearly always problematic. This new sealer does the job. It can seal without fail. I could not be happier with my purchase.
I vacuums the bag quickly and seals without fail, even when there is liquid in the way. If you can't afford a chamber vac, this is the greatest value for your money.
you can compare the product price from Costco, wayfair, bestbuy, lowes, target, homedepot, Walmart, ebay, amazon to find the best price for you
