Answer: I’m not sure I use mine in fresh water the web site says rub some Vaseline on the outside before using this will keep barnacle from forming on it. Will have to take out and clean then reapply every couple months.

Answer: YES! Once a month, or more often, you'll have to take it out of the water, scrape the gunk off and coat with vaseline.

Answer: Any 12VDC battery will work. Depending on how long you intend to use the light. I use a small car battery and it lasts for ten hours or more.

Can I use an extension cord with this 30’ product? My dock outlet is a ways from the water.

Answer: Most likely.

Does it float and how is it anchored to bottom ?

Answer: doesn’t float but the tide moves it too much so I tied it to a cinder block and now it works great

Can i use this to plug in to my regular power outlet outside?

Answer: If your power outlet is literally outside your home, by most city building codes it would be GFI (ground fault interrupt) wired. So, yes your Green Blob would safely connect there - ours does.

What’s the optimal depth to hang the light?

Answer: I didn't have good luck with this light at all. Used it for 6 months and the only thing that ever came around it were perch (sunfish). I tried several depths from 4'-12' under my boathouse. I would of course leave it there for several weeks at a given depth. I eventually put it on the shelf. I HATE to give a poor review on anything but in my case this is how it went. You will have to pull it up every 10 days or so to wipe the lake/pond grim off of it. That's uderstandable and not a big deal.

Junk junk junk. Bought two used a few times cause was not able to mount them. One stop working about 4 uses. Contacted them they said it was out of warranty. Sold me another one for “cost” what a sucker. Finally got them mounted Now the other two a year latter have stopped working!!! Ran 6 hours a night !!! Junk products!!! Shame on you guys ripping people off!!!

I used my blob for a couple of weeks and put it up for 2-3 more weeks. I tried to use it the 2nd time and it malfunctioned or did not work. I got back on amazon but was beyond the return date. I reached out to Mark with Green Blob Outdoors, he told to send it to him and he would take care of it. Well, in the end he made me a new one and returned it to me.

We rented a VRBO on an ocean front canal for two weeks and a few days into the trip I had the fun idea to throw a light into it in hopes to catch more fish (or at least see more fish).

The good: I needed one that had AC, not battery, and this was much cheaper than some of the others I have seen.

The bad: The canal itself is somewhere between 8 and 13 feet I think (depending on the tide) and this is very bright in the 5-6 foot depth and it gets dull after that. We were able to see hundreds and hundreds of little fish swarming around it every night but only if the fish swam above the light since the canal is too deep for it.

It didn't improve fishing at all but I can't blame it for that. It was fun to watch at night.

This light took a month to really draw in the lunker snook , on a typical evening and morning I've at least 10 or 12 hanging and dozens of other fish working the bait fish, now that its cooler it will only get better.
