Peter Weyland : Good Bait Mesh - But a Bit Limiting on What Bait can be Used

Pros: instead of pre-cut sizes for many brands of dissolving bait mesh, you can cut this to any size you like. It works with mesh loaders, if you're used to using a plunger. It dissolves fast. And if you're using carp pellets, it will do nicely.

Cons: You can't handle this at all if your hands are the slightest bit wet, so make sure they're dry. But that also means certain types of baits don't fare as well. So no chicken livers, or moist stinkbait if you're going after catfish. Go with dry chunks for catfish, if you can.

Overall, it's a good mesh for bait. They say that you can attach a rock to it, just use a lead sinker.

M : Dissolves quickly

I have never seen this type of bait mechanism for fishing. I’ve always used traditional bait and hooks (worms, bait fish). Tried this method on running fresh water and didn’t have any luck. The bag dissolves quickly. Friend says it would work better on catfish. Stay tuned for update.

This was a gift to a family fisherman. The fisherman reports: This is a welcome addition to any fishing outfit. The underlying idea is pure genius. The dissolving net releases the bits that lure the fish to your hook. You can cut the mesh to any desired size. It can be used in many different situations.

I think the idea of a dissolving fish net is marvelous, as when you are gone, if you leave any net behind, it will dissolve and no fish will be killed needlessly. 5 stars!

Got it for carp fishing. can not wait to try it out. Looks like it will work well. You can cut to a size and there is plenty of it. though would not recommend handling it with wet hands.

considering product sensitivity to moisture would have loved for it to come in a dispenser of sorts. i pre-cut a few pieces and put it into an empty pill container, for when i travel. Also its probably goes without mention but it will wok best for lakes or areas where water barely moves. for moving water areas i used product like this one -> "bouti1583 Fishing Bait Trap Cage Feeder Basket Holder Lure Fish Accessories 5 Pcs"

This is a cool product, and theoretically I love it. However, I'm not sure what the manufacturer's idea of breaking down "quickly" is, but I wouldn't rely on that - ultimately the bait seems to come out of the water pretty much the same as it goes when I use it. In which case, the high maintenance of it (tying the bait up just so) doesn't really prove an advantage over just putting the bait on the hook old school.

This is a good biodegradable wrapper support for soft baits. It keeps your chicken liver from falling apart. It's a good substitute instead of using pantyhose for your soft waits or any bait that you want to use.

Quickly dissolves in water. When I put bait (chicken liver), hook, and put in water, it dissolves in water quickly, and bait comes out. Wanted one that is more durable.

This net is for bait that can dissolve in the water to attract fish or any bait that you want to make last. You tie it up with the line that has the hook and it will lure the fish to the area. It's better than having one fish take all or having to keep putting bait on the hook itself. It's easy to use, you simply roll out however much you want to use, a little goes a long way (you cut 1-2 inches at a time).
