You can not find any mass company that even makes a hellgrammite, let alone of this quality! You could average at least 2/3 fish each which is a statement to the quality of material. This shape slays the fish all spring time long into summer my personal favorite lure. Will be buying more.

This was just the lure I have been looking for! I was a bit skeptical because the hellgrammites are 3" but after looking up with the DNR, that is the exact size they should be. I purchased them and even received a hand written thank you from the maker. I wet wade fish a lot of small streams in NC mountains and once you find a pool get ready. The smallmouth love them and it's like candy. They smash them and run! They are very durable for a soft plastic lure but, be warned, they are hit so hard and so often that I take at least 5 or 6 with me for an all day wade. I love them so much that I have reordered because I don't want to run out and have to go back to a lizard. Note* pics above are 1st day I tried them out.

I give 3 stars for the amount of baits in the package. The baits themselves are very fragile. They do not last at all, like the NIKKO Hellgrammites. After one fish these baits are toast. They look good and I caught some fish, but they just don't hold up to the abuse.
