#8 hook is smaller than #6 hook, corredt?

Answer: You are correct. For fresh water hooks the larger the number the smaller the hook. Smallest size I know of is a size 30, mainly used for tying small flies.

great price - work well for catching macks/bait fish in my area.. the only issue for me was the rigs don't work with my present Sabiki Rod set up.. the hooks are too big to stow inside rod.. so I can only use these rigs with my standard spinning/trolling rod set up..
