Are trays dishwasher safe?

Answer: a ccording to the book that came with the dehydrator they are. I have not put them in dishwasher because it is not working at this time

Answer: I think the one for $129 has stainless steel trays. Other than that, they are the same. I love mine. Works great.

What is the temperature range of this dehydrator please?

Answer: dehydrator goes up to 158 degrees . Makes excellent beef jerky out of lean roast .

I love everything about this product! I think I received one that doesn't work properly regarding temperature control. I am ordering a replacement.
I tried to dehydrate frozen fruits, cutting the strawberries, even one layer fruit and after well over 24 hours the fruit was not dehydrated. Yesterday I layered frozen vegetables and got the same effect, non dehydrated vegetables after more than 10 hours.

Based upon the 2 posted reviews, and reviews of other Samson Silent dehydrators, I'm hoping for a POSITIVE experience with the replacement dehydrator. This dehydrator is the perfect size, easy to clean and very low noise level.
I'm anxious to receive the replacement so I can become a successful food dehydrator!

The door slides up and down. It gets stuck on the shelves easily and make it difficult to open and close. I would not buy this again due to the fact that you have to play with the door to get it to sit right. The door removes from the top. Otherwise it seems to work fine.
