Is this good for freshwater fishing?

Answer: Sure, they can be used for freshwater and saltwater fishing.

Answer: Depends on where and what.

Answer: Why not? Fish will hit on the fall of the lure. Only problem I have had with these is sometimes the hook gets caught up in the O ring. I am not sure why that happens. They are not as finished as the Kastmaster, but they are acceptable

Answer: I made the mistake of using them in salt water. They rust much too easily. I'd say fresh water only even though they are heavy. They swim just like the ORIGINAL ACME KASTMASTER. But I had to sand off rust, treat and repaint and laquer for salt water protection

Answer: It’s the best thing for Sand bass all day long.

Answer: Ok..doesn't work as well as original kastmaster..2 packages were only 9 NOT 10 as advertized

How is its corrosion resistance?

Answer: It's solid electroplating metal construction for corrosion resistance.

Answer: Split rings and hooks rusted on mine from using in salt water despite rinsing and drying after each use. Main spoon has no signs of rust. Treble hooks and spling rings can be easily exchanged.

Answer: They have been for me so far,I fish in fresh water. I believe they are chrome plated . I make sure they are dry before I put them away.

Answer: I have not had a problem with rust, but they do not seem to wobble with the same action of a Kast Master . Also, some of rear trebles hang up on the cast.

Answer: The body holds up well however the treble hooks rust fairly quickly. I always change to a better treble hook

Answer: 2 to 3 ounces haven't weighed them

Answer: I got the 1/2 ounce ones. Problem is the hooks get caught up at a funny angle on the split ring

How about the quality of the treble hooks?

I have to give these five stars for what they are. If you need an effective, cheap spoon because you'll likely be losing them frequently these get the job done very well. We fished the jetties in Corpus Christi with these last week and caught plenty of fish (mostly ladyfish) without any failures. We lost all three we actually fished with in the rocks, so I have no clue how long the hardware would hold up in saltwater. After our last snag and breakoff it was dark and time to head in. I'm hanging on to the rest for our next trip, can't wait!

Nothing stands out with this product.
Located in the UK but owned by Chinese. Sticker on lure (not paint) fell off within 10 minutes.
The treble bends and needed to be replaced by end of day.

You are paying money for feathered trebled hooks but the hooks aren't any good. Lose way too many fish with broken hooks.

Incredible bargain! These lures look, cast and catch fish at least at least as good as actual Castmasters. False albacore and Spanish mackeral love the 3/4 oz size. Add a bucktail and they should be great for blues and school stripers.

I bought the .35, .99 and 1.12 oz sizes. A few of the .99 oz size had some defect/irregularities which appears to be the result of their machining process (see the pics). One end of the spoon was slightly thicker. When I contacted the seller, they said that the manufacturer told them that it wouldn't affect the action/performance. The customer service was disappointing.
Compared to Kastmaster, these seem slightly thicker but not as wide. The action seems similar, but I didn't catch any fish with the .99 oz spoon I used. The finish seems to be okay, but given the above defect I doubt it'll be as good as the Kastmaster. The hooks are very sharp, despite the spoons being packed in individual clear plastic bags. The shipment was slower than average.

Opened the jewelry bag the lure came in and the hard tail heart fell out and in the river. used the same lure with no tail and still caught a 2 lbs bass out of the Colorado river in Texas! about 45 minutes of fishing near a fell tree.

The only problem I see with these is that the “fish” seems to be just a sticker and probably will come off after a few uses. That being said, if it does come off you’re still left with a lure that resembles a Kastmaster and you get ten of them for less than 20 dollars.

they have sticker that comes off easy you can put a small layer of super glue etc. or take it off. used 1st day didnt produce in the stock pond that just got 49 brood trout sadly...(they like power bait there mainly).. But they have the same action as Kastmasters that I love at a much much cheaper price. I'm painting the heads orange with a black line down the middle to lure end (my colors for Salmon/Steelhead).I bought the 7G pack nickel next time I will purchase their 18G nickel haven't seen any from any other companies that size and have awesome luck with 3/4 oz in high water here in Oregon. Although not up to the quality of acme cast masters, these are up to the job. A good buy for surf anglers who often have to deal with toothy fish like bluefish or spanish mackerel that can frequently bite lures off. The hooks should probably be replaced by something stronger for redfish of 10 lb. or more because these fish can easily straighten lighter hooks. A single hook works well on lures of this type.

These are very low quality spoons. If you are looking for cheap tackle you are better off buying something from Walmart. The hooks these lures ship with are dull and undersized. The overlay sticker on the actual product is not representative of the advertised picture. The buck tail is barely tied on and the rings are also bad. There is not a single redeeming aspect of this product that I could find. Clearly they come in a pack of 10 because they are so defective.

Great value. Spanish mackerel were feeding off the beach and they were leader shy so didn't mind tossing these ones purchased in bulk. Great action, casted a mile. Tendency to rust but what do you want for the money? Put a couple of drops of vegetable oil on them in a baggie and they stayed fine.
