Answer: Owner twistlock hooks in 1/8oz is my go to weedless soft plastic setup. Zman also makes weedless jigheads but I have not tried them. Hope this helps

Which hook size if suitable for this swimbait? Is it also ok to use with trout eye hooks?

Answer: I usually use a 3/0 hook it'll sit right in the middle. You can use the trout eye hooks they're really good. If not the owner sled head jig heads are also good they have 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 the 1/4 has i believe a 2/0 hook while the 3/8 and 1/2 have a 3/0 hook i may be wrong! Look into them they're perfect for a weedless presentation.

Answer: If there are no colors listed you will receive the color in the picture. Which is silver, grey with a white belly and glitter throughout the body.

Answer: Snook trout redfish flounder good all around shad taik

Can I use these in saltwater?

Answer: ABSOLUTELY!!! They are, by far, my favorite swim bait. Use them for stripers in the northeast. Very durable fish after fish!

Answer: Most Z mans you can push the hook point strait up thru the fun. I like to let it lay beside the fun making it a little weedless.

Answer: I use Freedom Hydra Jig Heads with 3/0 owner hook

Most durable bait on the market. Paired with a Texas eye 3/0 jig head or a chinlockz belly weighted hook these thing can’t be beat. You can fish a whole day on just one bait

These baits are incredible. I’ve caught snook, stripers, blue fish, jacks and small tarpon on them. Ignore the reviews that say they melt. They ONlY melt if you store them with other brands of plastics. If kept separate they you will have no issues regardless of the temperature. Tight lines!

I've used Z-man Diezel minnows a handful of times and the quality and action can't be beat. I found the Mulletron and Bad Shad colors to be almost identical with the exception to added glitter specks in the Bad Shad pattern. Overall, I highly recommend Z-man diezel minnows maybe tipped with some pro-cure to land those inshore monsters.

Living in Cali it gets pretty hot and after you use these whatever protective coating that is on them wears off and they melt pretty easily after that, sitting in my tackle box in 90 degree weather and they completely melted, no other soft plastic bait in my box melted and I have noticed with other zman products they all seem to melt if they have been in the water before.

Even shad think it's a shad. Bass are no doubt challenging at times. I usually turn to these mates to a chatter, spinner, or sometime just rigged alone. Almost always get a hit within the first 15 casts. Funny, ZMan baits and lures are usually what I go to when everything else fails. I try not to use them off the bat cause I almost feel like its cheating. Try tying a bunch of these to an Alabama rig and you will literally get tired of unhooking fish. You will also get tired of un-snagging your rig, just saying. That's Bass fishing tho. If your not in structure your not really trying. Highly recommended and best of luck.
