Im not good when it comes to ounces so which would be the least to greatest ?

Answer: The bigger the bottom number the smaller the weight assuming the top number is the same. In the one you are looking at the 1/10 is the smallest and 1/5 the biggest. The 1/10 would have to be used with an ultra light or light rod and reel. If you are using a medium action I would recommend the heavier size jig.

Anyone else feel like the weed guard prevents hookups?

Answer: I absolutely feel the weed guard lost me too many fish. I cut them off the first one I used today and had a much better hook up ratio. Perhaps I am not adjusting them correctly compared to the weed guards that sit under the hook.

Answer: Pointed out makes the hook weedless

Where do you put the wire when rigging these?

Answer: Rig the bait the wire stays where it is, if you don’t want the wire on bend the wire till it breaks off

Answer: Depends on the application. When I’m using on rocky bottom or thick stemmy weeds I leave them in place as a weed guard. In hydrilla you can cut them off or bend them down to the hook shank and put your plastic over top.

Ned rig has great action as described but on the down side the hooks are very thin . Every time I hooked into a bass over 4lbs the bend the hooks out . Go to a heavier guage hook and they'd be perfect

I love these jig heads--perfect for the TRD finesse stick baits. As some people have noted, you may want to remove one of the wires on the weed guards, since they're a little too stiff. Unless you only want a monster bass smashing it. ;)

The hooks are sharp and strong, but there are definitely quality issues with these. The eye on one of the hooks was badly formed and had no hole, making it unusable. At first I thought it was just paint, but I think the metal itself is different on that one (see picture). I also found that these get beat up pretty easily, but I guess that's to be expected for something you drag along the bottom. The other attached picture is after one use.

I haven't used the ned rig much but the floating action for the TRD baits is genius. Excited to try it out a little more. I've had luck with this set up using the june bug colored finesse TRD baits.

Excited to try a ned rig. Unfortunately not a strong enough hook for anything larger than 2 to 3 pounds. Hooked a fatty and got him to the boat as I tried to lift him into the boat the hook bent and released him. He was probably under 5 pounder. Hook needs to be stronger than that.
