The EliasVFishing swim shad is a new take on a classic bait. It's simple and effective. Designed at 5.5" and made with an ultra soft mold, this paddletail will trigger strikes from predators easily! Coming in both natural hues like Sea-Money (Mackerel) and Ghost Mullet when fishing clean water. Or choose from Ice White or Chartreuse for murky conditions. Gray trout, bluefish, and of course stripers cannot resist this extremely effective lure!

How good are these for inshore fishing??

Answer: They work great. I’ve fished them from jetty’s as well as the beach catching Stripers along the jersey shore. They have excellent action because they are soft. However that comes at a cost because they tear a little easier then I’d like. So if you’re looking for a great shad I recommend them.

Answer: These definitely produce fish - just make sure you have a good stopper on your jighead.

Answer: Yes. I’ve caught some nice flounder.

Can use these baits bottom fishing on a pier

Answer: You can bottom fish with these but you will need to vertical jig them to keep them swimming. You will need a weighted jig head to get it down there. These are the best swim shad around!

Answer: You can use them from a pier , but they are meant to be casted out and retrieved on a lead head.

Answer: of course i've had luck fishing them from my local piers

These shads are awesome for jigging or trolling and hold up surprisingly well as long as you use double barbed jigheads or super glue. They have much better action than the storms and tsunamis I used to use. The one in the pic caught about 20 fish and is still going strong

Great action in the water, first time using nailed 4 stripers on just a standard retrieve. No fancy jigging twitching or anything else.

Pros: soft body gives great action, actually works, reasonable pricing

Con: soft body makes bodies tough to use over and over, but super glue fixes this

Roy : They Simply Work

I used these twice with excellent success; First trip was all Blue fish. Sure, the fish bit through the lure every now and then, but on the flip side, the hookups were constant and other lures just didn't work. Second trip, surf casting on a stormy day, targeting striped bass. Nearly every other cast ended with a hookup when nothing else was producing any hits. On the second trip, I went through two lures in about 4 hours - so the lure held up nicely to multiple casts into very strong wind. Bottom line - highly recommended

Dan : Avoid at all costs, unless they're a gift for your least favorite grandchild.

Way too soft, I was afraid to make long casts as the bait would rip and slide down the hook. I would not recommend this brand for striper or any saltwater fish for that matter, even bluefish. Also the bait has a very strong chemical smell, which leads me to believe this bait is made with cheap plastic and is soft for that reason, not by intentional design. The worst part about this bait was that I put one of these baits in a bag with some of my gulp swimbaits and it melted, ruining the entire bag of gulp.
I feel the chemical smell definitely deters quality fish from taking this bait. Stripers are very much attracted to scent and they would hesitate to hit this lure, whereas fish seem to hit gulp and other lures even without added scent.
In short I would avoid this bait at all costs with so many other quality options on the market, there's no reason to fish these. If you find yourself in a situation where someone gave you their bag rather than throwing them out im sure you could catch fish with them on a day the fish are biting aggressively and would hit anything. But on an average day of fishing where the target fish actually want something resembling a meal, I would not even consider using these cheaply made lures.

Great action in the water! Also, the full plastic body makes rigging on a jighead secure and easy. Much better quality than the Got-cha soft plastic shads, and I know that I'll be catching many stripers on these.

The plastic has great action and is stronger than similar products. I would reccomend to anyone looking for a large profile swimbait, works well in shallow and deep water.
