The EliasVFishing swim shad is a new take on a classic bait. It's simple and effective. Designed at 5.5" and made with an ultra soft mold, this paddletail will trigger strikes from predators easily! Coming in both natural hues like Sea-Money (Mackerel) and Ghost Mullet when fishing clean water. Or choose from Ice White or Chartreuse for murky conditions. Gray trout, bluefish, and of course stripers cannot resist this extremely effective lure!

How good are these for inshore fishing??

Answer: They work great. I’ve fished them from jetty’s as well as the beach catching Stripers along the jersey shore. They have excellent action because they are soft. However that comes at a cost because they tear a little easier then I’d like. So if you’re looking for a great shad I recommend them.

Answer: These definitely produce fish - just make sure you have a good stopper on your jighead.

Answer: Yes. I’ve caught some nice flounder.

Can use these baits bottom fishing on a pier

Answer: You can bottom fish with these but you will need to vertical jig them to keep them swimming. You will need a weighted jig head to get it down there. These are the best swim shad around!

Answer: You can use them from a pier , but they are meant to be casted out and retrieved on a lead head.

Answer: of course i've had luck fishing them from my local piers

Answer: I like to use a 1 oz. with 5/0 most of the time.

I generally use a lot of Hogy soft plastics as well as gulp for saltwater fishing but they can get expensive after getting marauded by bluefish. Not only do these work well and catch fish they also hold up quite well to some of more tooth fish out there. I was crushing striped bass, blues and (surprisingly) fluke and black sea bass with these. Highly recommended.

It's true this bait looks and swims really nicely, BUT, as another reviewer said: the plastic IS REALLY SOFT and once you rig it you better leave it on the jig head because they break and split open very easily. So with that being said you better hook it in correctly the first time because once you break a hole through it it won't hold up if you make another hole. I've used these twice. Yesterday I had to cut a chunk off because it ripped down the middle. No fish caught but bait action is really good. When I cut it to rig it again, it still worked fine. Just looked more like a small minnow.

Great action in the water! Also, the full plastic body makes rigging on a jighead secure and easy. Much better quality than the Got-cha soft plastic shads, and I know that I'll be catching many stripers on these.

I normally dont write reviews on Amazon, but I care about this guy and can say he makes one of the best fishing products. This isnt a business man or laywer trying to fool you, it is a real fishmerman selling you these. Sure, these shads are flimsy, but I bet you if he makes it with hard material you guys who don't know how to jig properly will comlpain about it not being the exact color you want. Seriously, these are one of the best shads I have ever bought. They aren't overly expensive and are incredible. If this was a business man, he would be selling it at double the price for the good quality of these shads.

Ok these swim shads are killer for stripers and other predatory fish here in the northeast. Elias did a great job with the design and material used for this mold and I will be using these as long as I can still cast a line. I was going to wait a week or so before reviewing to catch some more fish on these but from using some from last season that were a gift from a family member I had to buy more and I don't doubt that they will perform flawless as always. Will be reviewing the other swim bait products as well. Good job Elias!

The plastic has great action and is stronger than similar products. I would reccomend to anyone looking for a large profile swimbait, works well in shallow and deep water.
