The EliasVFishing swim shad is a new take on a classic bait. It's simple and effective. Designed at 5.5" and made with an ultra soft mold, this paddletail will trigger strikes from predators easily! Coming in both natural hues like Sea-Money (Mackerel) and Ghost Mullet when fishing clean water. Or choose from Ice White or Chartreuse for murky conditions. Gray trout, bluefish, and of course stripers cannot resist this extremely effective lure!

How good are these for inshore fishing??

Answer: They work great. I’ve fished them from jetty’s as well as the beach catching Stripers along the jersey shore. They have excellent action because they are soft. However that comes at a cost because they tear a little easier then I’d like. So if you’re looking for a great shad I recommend them.

Answer: These definitely produce fish - just make sure you have a good stopper on your jighead.

Answer: Yes. I’ve caught some nice flounder.

Can use these baits bottom fishing on a pier

Answer: You can bottom fish with these but you will need to vertical jig them to keep them swimming. You will need a weighted jig head to get it down there. These are the best swim shad around!

Answer: You can use them from a pier , but they are meant to be casted out and retrieved on a lead head.

Answer: of course i've had luck fishing them from my local piers

Answer: I like to use a 1 oz. with 5/0 most of the time.

Shape and design are good...but the plastic is way too soft. I was losing 4 of these every time I went fishing for a few hours. Elias, work on getting some durable plastic when having these made. Would also be great if these were scented like a Gulp product.

Great action in the water! Also, the full plastic body makes rigging on a jighead secure and easy. Much better quality than the Got-cha soft plastic shads, and I know that I'll be catching many stripers on these.

Finally got a chance to fish these Shads and they did not disappoint. Sits great on lead head for easy rigging and mutiple fish per shad. Stripers ate em up like a live one! Cannot wait to use other EliasV baits for other species this year also! Another plus I received them in no time! Awesome!

Ok these swim shads are killer for stripers and other predatory fish here in the northeast. Elias did a great job with the design and material used for this mold and I will be using these as long as I can still cast a line. I was going to wait a week or so before reviewing to catch some more fish on these but from using some from last season that were a gift from a family member I had to buy more and I don't doubt that they will perform flawless as always. Will be reviewing the other swim bait products as well. Good job Elias!

Mike S. : Really Effective for Stripers in the Fall

I am just back from kayaking and caught 10 stripers on one of these soft plastic baits. They work, especially when the stripers are feeding. I love that it is a single hook which makes it easy to catch and release and every fish was hooked in a way that extraction was almost instant. I caught them casting and I caught them trolling. After I caught about 5 fish, the plastic lure would sometimes slide a bit down and I would put it back up to the top. The only other thing is that once in a while, a bluefish will snap off the tail. But that has been rare. Elias - you are the only reason I bought a fishing kayak and now, I have a hobby, in my own backyard, that costs me almost nothing and gives me endless adventures. Can't thank you enough and keep teaching us. We need to learn.

not that strong, they dont hold up to toothy fish, they just bite it right in half and before you know it you went through an entire pack. Z-Mans are much stronger and offer same presentation.

A friend of mine bought these and we fished over the same pod of stripers and he was literally reeling a fish in every cast. I was using the same setup but with the typical rubber shad you find at the local shore fishing stores and had 1 hookup for every 4 casts. Intrigued, I asked for a couple and the bite significantly increased. Needless to say, I ordered plenty and these have now become a staple in my aresenal.
