What is included in this fly collection?
The Fly Fishing Place Lefty's Deceiver Fly Fishing Flies Collection includes eight different hand-tied streamer fly patterns. Four are color variations of the original Deceiver as tied by fly fishing legend Lefty Kreh, and four are modern hybrids of the Deceiver and the Clousers Minnow, or "Clouceivers" as we call them.

Are these flies only for saltwater fly fishing?
Although these streamers are tied on premium stainless steel saltwater hooks for use in harsh saltwater conditions, they are equally effective for freshwater game fish like trout, bass, steelhead and salmon. The wide variety of colors in this collection will work well in many different water conditions.

What size are these hooks?
The 8 flies in this collection are all tied on 1/0 size stainless steel hooks. This is a versatile size suitable for both saltwater and freshwater game fish species.

Any tips on using these flies?
These Deceivers are streamer flies which imitate small baitfish, so try a line stripping action which imitates a minnow swimming. Varying the speed of the stripping may help incite a strike. Stopping and starting the swimming motion can imitate a wounded baitfish which is especially attractive to predatory game fish.
