Answer: I am using them in salt water. Little small for large fish but seem to work ok.

Worst fish lures I have ever seen

BWha : these easily pull apart/break (even the larger ones)

I bought these to attach heavy weights to my line while bottom fishing for Catfish. These aren't very strong and that's the whole reason I bought them. When the weight gets snagged, these easily pull apart/break (even the larger ones), therefore freeing my line up. I lose a sinker, but that's how it goes. Other people have suggested I attach my sinker to a sacrificial lower pound test leader as that would accomplish the same thing. I prefer these as it lets me swap weights around quickly. I would rather lose a sinker than damage my main line. These were cheap and easily disposable. Perfect for what I wanted them for.

I would imagine they would work good as normal snap swivels for their intended use. Just be advised they are only as strong as the specs listed. The largest ones are listed at 28lbs. The smallest at 11lbs.
