Answer: The blade is about 4" long. I take it spearfishing and use it for braining. It works great. I made a sheath from heated PVC pipe and attach it to my weight belt.

It's basically junk. If you're looking for a knife to cut herring, I'd recommend a higher quality blade that can keep an edge. If you just need a cheap knife to cut yourself, this would work.
