I used this to hook up a 21 inches (48cm) snakehead. The time was 4:30pm temperature was about 85 degrees farenheit. Sunny day. and the snakehead was hiding under the tree. He swallowed my entire frog deep into his throat, so he could not escape.

Great action, looks really believable. Haven't yet caught anything on it but in sure it will work during the summer excellent for hi many frogs there are at the lake I fish at.

Will B. : Hooksets are difficult

I got a lot of bites on this, never got the hook set. When you look at it and push on the bait to expose the hooks, you see why. The portion of the bait in front of the hook points, that needs to be compressed to get a hookset, is very short and tapered. I think the only way to reliably get a good hookset is if the fish really swallows it and you set hard with a long rod with a lot of backbone.

I use these at my local pond to catch bullfrogs with my cane pole. They attract more attention than other lures I've tried, don't get tangled in the cattails and weeds like treble hooks, and are large enough that only full-grown bullfrogs get hooked. These are perfect for bullfrog fishing.

The quality of this product is good, the colors are very realistic to the frogs we have in my home state of Oregon. The hooks are sharp and seem to be a good build. The only concern I have is with the size of this lure, it's much smaller than I expected. The description says 2.5-inch when in fact it barley hits the 1.5-inch mark (unless you pull the legs all the way tot)... Take a look at my photos for a better example.

Unfortunately, the colors are not consistent. Example with the poison frog black/ yellow pattern on one and black/ green pattern on a "matching" pair. Poor quality control.

Had a small frog I liked and noticed I must have lost my big frog so I ordered this, turns out it is the same small frog I already had. Looks awesome, I like legs rather than a skirt. Great frog but their 2.5 inches could only be with legs all the way out. This is a one inch frog, don't let the 2.5 inches fool you. Other than being very small, only dislike is it doesn't cast far and for using frogs you have to be far away.

The action on this lure is amazing. The smaller pocket frog version I love. Any size bass just can't handle it passing overhead.. when I was younger we never had baits like this. It casts so well. I put 20lb braid on a 4000 Stella and I can cast it 70 feet no problem.. i have found twitching it three times and letting it sit for differing lengths of time does the trick.
