Anyone know the best size weighted hooks for these?

Answer: The Shimmer Swimmer is best fished on a standard jig head size 3/16 oz or 1/4 oz. It will do very well on the on the back of jigs, spinnerbaits, or on a finesse Carolina or Texas rig. We recommend 6-12lb Fluorocarbon or 15-20lb Braid fishing line. Happy Fishing!

Answer: I just use a size 2 offset work hook, keeps it high on the water and slowly drops

Answer: I use a 1/8 and 3/16oz depending on where I’m at. If you are fishing deep water you could go 1/4 oz also.

Trying to order hooks online. 1/0? 2/0? for a t rig

Answer: For the Texas Rig with the 3.5" Shimmer Swimmer Paddle Tail Swimbait, we recommend using a 3/0 or 4/0 hook size. And, if you want to use weight hooks we recommend 1/8 oz. Happy Fishing!

PeteM1999 : Look Great but Not Durable

Bought these after watching a YouTube video of MDLR fishing with these. I bought one package of each of the colors. They arrived very quickly and are very nicely packaged. Finally got out on the water with them. First cast and I hooked a speckled trout, got it us next to the kayak and the fish spit the hook and tore the lure in half. Went with another color and made a couple of cast and the eyeballs fell off. During the course of the next few hours I tried all of the colors and all of the eye balls fell off. Other problem was getting a strike and the lure would slip down the hook, resetting it was difficult as the lures are flimsy and tear very easily. Overall if catching fish was based on the packaging these things would be killer... but it isn't. I'm thinking that for the same money I can get a whole lot more lures that last longer. Maybe I just got a bad batch....

This is an update to the post I previously made to where I gave a one star and said I wouldn't buy again. Shortly after the previous post I received and email apologizing for the issue I had with this product and the bait ripping in half when I ran the hook through the body. I recieved a very sincere and apology and a replacement. Just from the amazing and sincere customer service team I will buy more from them! I will give further updates on bait as soon as I get to use it!

Fishing Jedi : Nice realistic swimbait with subtle action

These are a very nice clear water option in my opinion. Just realistic enough, but still generic enough to imitate a variety of forage. I like the modified paddle tail, as I think it will give a more subtle action than a softer boot style (ie a Rage Swimmer, Keitech, etc. ). Should be deadly for Smallmouth in clear, cold water. Pairs nicely with a 1/4 oz ball head jig.
