I use 8 oz wight on river. Will this rod handle it?

Answer: Yes, you can up to 10oz. with this rod.

Does this have nylon handle and is it 8ft MH

Answer: Yes it has a nylon cord wrapped handle. The image that Amazon shows is incorrect and I have requested that they change it multiple times and they have not. Yes it is a MH.

Answer: Yes reddish nylon handle rod itself 8ft but does not specify MH or H it feels somewhere in between to me. They have outstanding costumer service as well if you have any issues.

Is this a regular old siver cat or a magnum?

Answer: This is the magnum . As a first time purchaser I was a little surprised with the handle in this . It doesn't have the cork handle, it has like a leather type rope wrapped handle which is not what the picture shows. Over all I'm really happy with the rods though

Answer: It is 8ft/2pc. but with a paracord wrapped handle. This is an image our 7.5ft/1pc that has a cork handle. I have uploaded the correct image several times, but Amazon keeps defaulting back to this one. Sorry for the confusion,

Answer: Mine says 1-4 oz. But, I have slung 10 oz at the Ohio River catching big blues and never had any issues.

Answer: The Silver Cat Magnum 8-ft casting rod actually is silver. I have been trying to get Amazon to change the image to no avail.

Love the action on the rod, hate the handle. Other than the handle the rod does its job.

Came in with plastic reel seat rings and plastic handle. Not like photo. There were defects in the coating. Returned for full refund. Suggest photo reflects the way the rod is made...Very pleased with Amazon return policy...

The pole it self is great the one thing that dissatisfied me was in the picture of the order the reel sets are metal the one I got the reel seats are plastic I wanted the metal one I will not send it back on the account that it's still a amazing rod but that was the only draw back for me in the package it came in was great it was very secure didn't look like it would break that just made me mad that the real seats are plastic and not metal
