The ad says 4 bearings and the photo says 5 bearings..which is correct?

Answer: I dont count bearings',I just catch fish

is this the 6 or the 10?

Answer: The one I got was the 10. Smooth reel. Very happy with it. Bout the size of the old zebco 33's.

Answer: the difference is the pfluger 6 is a little lighter and the gear ratio is different from the 10, no direrence in looks.

How does this reel hold up to everyday use? Very hard to find an affordable reel that can and will last more than a year

Answer: very good. i have used these reels for a few years now. even withh the upgrades to them. keep them well greased and the right size line on them . they will perform pretty well. bjc.

Answer: I bought this for my wife last year and she hasn't used it much. I did use it a couple to times and liked the action but could not give an honest answer on how it would hold up to heavy use.

Answer: Had mine about 3-4 months. Noise level and reel resistance has greatly increased since a new, with cleaning and lube. Not sure how much longer it will last.

Answer: reel is very good..lasts well , casts well , but do not use braid lines as they cut the metal face on reeling in ,and does permanent damage.

Answer: They seem to hold up a little better than your typical closed face,but still don’t last like you would think they should. I’ve just gotten my kids accustomed to throwing a spinning reel and bait casters.

Answer: this one did not last 6 months. it did not get used every day and was stored in a rod box on my boat and still did not last my wife but about 10 to 15 trips.

What size of line?

Answer: use only monofilament line to suit the approx. weight of fish you expect to catch..DO NOT USE BRAID LINE..it cuts the face and drum of the inner reel and causes the line to be cut ..Pfleuger are very hard to contact to get parts..otherwise a nice reel..good fishing

is the thumb lever plastic

Answer: the thumb lever is a plastic but has some softness..not brittle..no problems so far...do not use braid line as it cuts the drum face and brass pins..otherwise a neat reel ..so long as it catches fish..

Can 40 pound line be used?

Answer: sure. you can use just about any kind of line, according to style, weight, composition. i use my Prez for Crappie and bluegill, but there are a couple catfish i could have bobbed up if id had a 20 lb line on there or more. ill use whatevers available if my preferred 10 lb monofilament isnt there. what are you fishing?

Answer: only if its forty pound braid NOT monofilament

What is the difference between a 6 and a 6U

are the pins a problem

Answer: why are you having problems with pins , maybe a factory defect.???

Answer: made in china ..good reel..don't use braid line it cuts the reel face ,and pfluger are very difficult to buy parts from ...if you know a USA dealer who sells parts let me know..

What's the difference between the pflueger spin cast 6 and the 10?

Answer: The only difference that I have noticed is the size..the 10 is bigger than the 6. I have my 10 on a Shakespeare Ugly Stik and it works awesome! I actually have 3 of them

Answer: The 6 comes pre-spooled with 6lb mono line and the 10 comes pre-spooled with 10lb mono line.

Answer: I believe it is the difference in the test line. I have the Pflueger Spincast 10 and it uses a 10lb test line.

Smoooth! I have this reel with the rod as part of the President combo set up. I am really impressed with the action and throw. I don't need much more than this for pan-fishing from a bank. I use 10lb test because you never know what will show up but I pull crappie bass and sunfish with a simple rig and have not had any problems. A very nice reel.
