what are the size(s)?

Answer: I can only give you a guess; I believe, the sizes run from around a size 12 through size 18- 20 or so. They are well tied, you wont regret the purchase.

Answer: I bought sizes 18, 16, & 14 as an assortment. 4 of each. Fished in Montana outside of Billings and as far west as Big Sky for ten days and was only able to use caddis/ direct Adams flies the last three days as the hatch was late and used streamers the first 7 days. Much success with the size 16 & 14. catching 14" to 18" rainbows with them.

Answer: The Adams pattern is a classic dry fly, and is very effective with a fly rod, using some floatant to keep it on the surface. With a spinning rod, you can use a clear bubble and a thee foot leader, and this pattern is killer at sunset in Western lakes. This pattern is a great matchup with the classic mosquito.

Caught many backcountry sierra trout over the summer with these. My given trail name is T2 (trout terminator). Most my fish were caught on these flies. Not super durable but they did catch dozens of beautiful fish. Would buy again.

The flies are beautiful. I ordered the Adams and they are very nice. The only problem is I only received 8 of my dozen flies.

not only half of these are the smallest flies/hooks I've ever seen [I'm talking much more smaller than the standard size 10 hook], the eyes on the hooks are too small for most lines... worse yet, some seem to be not even open [ punched through]... they're so tiny it's difficult to even tell.... all flies come in a mini cardboard box, probably less than 2" square....

insufficient info given in this item's description to inform a potential buyer of just how tiny these flies/hooks are, therefore I had to rate it negatively.... I wasted my money on something useless for my purpose [emergency/survival fishing kits I build for myself/family/friends] due to lack of proper item's description.... other than that the flies seem pretty well made....

[edited on january 2, 2015] - i have to include this addendum for the fairness' sake... as one amazon member has commented on my review, in the comments section below, there now is indeed additional info included in this flies set's description which clearly lists the fly sizes included in this set... at the time of my purchase i looked for such info and didn't find it... was it there and i missed it?... i think it's highly mprobable but of course not impossible...

however, since it's now there, i'll alter my rating of this product and add an additional star; and am including this additional comment to my original review above... i can't with a clear conscience add more than one additional star because there still is the fact that on at least 4 flies from the set i purchased, the hook's eyes were completely closed off by paint/coating and required the piercing of them with a tiny pin... also, as i've stated, i looked for the info on the size of these flies as well as any additional info and did not find it at the time... i'm fairly certain it simply wasn't included at the time...
i try my best to be as fair as possible in all of my reviews because i also often depend on the reviews by others when shopping on-line... in light of my initial experience [unwelcome surprise, mainly due to the tiny fly sizes AND some hook eyes unusable for threading with a line] with my original purchase of this fly set, i don't feel that i can fairly rate it above 3 stars...
however, i should also clearly sstate that i'm not a fly fisherman and thus i can't objectively comment on the effectiveness of these flies, nor on their overall quality aside from those hook eyes.... ymmv...

Great price, and the flies are okay. 5/5 due to its low price point and solid product. Oh, and I've caught some nice Golden and German trout on these so I know they work.
