Answer: Yes I like to texas rig (Extra Wide Gap hook) these. When done this way the hook tip sits just inside the lure, so that it's less likely to hang up, but will still set hook.

This solves two of "my" fishing problems. (1) They are not live bait, so I can store them in the truck with a rod and reel and just get right to it. (2) They really work. I use a #10 fishing hook, and spear it through the head, then into the shank and form my own little salamander that needs to be eaten. It seems to work best if I let it sink for 10 seconds and then just do a revolution on the reel every 5 seconds. The bass do like it, and they seem to hit pretty close to the bank and weeds with this one. Glad I found them.

If you want to slay bass get these, they hate lizards especially when they are near their beds i slay bass all day in a few lakes around here in FL, i havent tried them ever in saltwater yet im not sure what would happen but could be a fun experiment for the future.

This is the best color soft plastic for my location. I can not find them at any local stores so I have to buy them online for a few bucks more. I have never gone wrong with this color.

Bass love to hate these. About a month ago I couldn't keep enough in my tackle box. The bass hit them hard. If you want to know if they're around, throw one of these in the water. They might just rip the tail off, but most times, they take the hook.
