Answer: It does float. 12 lb fluorocarbon or monofilament would make a slight difference, but I'd still say 14-16' deep.

I located bass hanging around the middle of the lake at about the 16ft mark on my electronics . I tied on the 6XD and bam! caught one right away. This bait is a very deep crank so be ready to work for your fish! I recommend this lure

THis bait gets deep fast, kinda pricey but you gotta figure if it works for VanDamn it will work for us mere mortal bass fishermen.
