Best color for daytime lake fishing? I was thinking about the gator craw color?

Answer: Hard to answer. So many variables. However, I would go with black and blue and green pumpkin to start. Those have been the 2 most productive colors for me in Florida.

Best size?

Answer: Depends on your rod specs...normally 3/8 to 1/2 ounce, depends on depth and you're targeting!

Is .375 too light

Can you skip this jig easily?

Answer: I don't think this would be a good jig to skip, however, I do not have any light jigs like the person before me answered.

Answer: the lighter ones skip well

does it really weigh 1 lb?

Answer: NO. This is my favorite jig fir heavy cover.

These jigs are just as good as any jigs I've ever used they are made perfectly!!

I'm a big jig fisherman. I fish some BASS tournaments and this is my go to jig. No matter if I'm in grass or trees, this will come through with little to no snags. It's a jig so you still have the occasional snag but they are few and far between. The head slips through cover with ease and the weed guard keeps the hook free. Make no mistake though, when you set the hook on the fish it will be hooked. The thing I like most about this jig is the hook. I've read several places that Greg Hackney wanted a bigger hook than any other jig had. Well, he definitely made that happen. This hook will NOT bend. It's extremely strong and sharp. I fish it with 50 pound braid and I have actually broken off chunks of wood when the jig got hung up, and the hook didn't give a bit. If you want a heavy cover jig that is about as versatile as it gets, add this to your tacklebox.
