How well does this work for catfish?

Answer: Doesn’t

Pro-Cure scents, Shrinp,Mullet, & Saltwater are gells. I'm a beach,pier,jetty guy. Is one better for where I fish? Oh, I see another, 'Inshore" .

Answer: if you fish where the bait is largely shrimp, then use shrimp. if you where you fish, the bait is largely minnows, then use mullet.

Answer: I like to have a little bit of everything you just don't know what the fish want

I am a firm believer in Pro-Cure.
I primarily fish saltwater flats with artificial bait and use Pro Cure religiously.
I have seen a marked increase in hook-ups since I started using this product.

Husband says this stuff works great on speckle trout. He uses it on white lures and the red gel melts down the sides. He isn't telling fish stories either, told him to stop bringing fish home, freezer is packed and I am tired of eating fish all the time!

Works well with: D.O.A. Shrimp, soft plastics, crank baits, spinner baits, rattle traps, live shrimp, top waters, frozen shrimp, cut mullet or any other cut bait. It may sound stupid putting shrimp perfume on cut bait but it works, so buy it, use it, and catch more fish.

Used this product last fall shore/pier fishing in the Florida panhandle, but did not see any marked increase in catch at all.

so far I've used this for freshwater and nothing bit it at all. went to creeks full of pickerals and bass... still nothing. went to a pond full of bass but they didn't even bother with the scent on. now don't get me wrong tho this is tuna blood so it's probably best for saltwater fishing. which I haven't gone yet with this but I will.

I wouldn't be caught fishing without this stuff! I can't prove it works but I know it does. If a fish strikes my artificial and I have Pro-Cure on it and it misses.... more than likely it will quickly strike again and again. Why? Because it tasted REAL and it's getting away.

Conspicuous Consumer : Attracts bites, but ...

ProCure definitely works to attract first, second, and repeated bites from fish.

I saved a small stiff plastic zip lock bag that some soft plastics came in ( think the brand was salt water assassin, which are average lures, but their baggies are perfect for procure). I squeeze some ProCure into the bag and drop in my fully rigged soft plastic with jighead and stinger hooks. Then i mush it around and it is easy to get a thin uniform coating of procure, including in nooks and crannies.

This is better than rubbing it on with your fingers because it makes your fingers smell and you waste half of the procure on your fingers. It is better than a regular sandwich baggie because those are too supple and immediately get punctured by the hook.

So why only 4 stars? Its because the container it comes in is so hard to empty. A significant amount remains stuck inside the container. This stuff is the consistency of toothpaste. I think a toothpaste tube would work a lot better to get it all out easily.

I bought this last fall to put on some of my striper lures and didn't have any luck with this stuff. I did catch plenty of fish on the lures that I didn't apply the Pro-Cure...

This is great stuff to add some "spice" to artificial lures. It's quite thick and clings to lures for many casts. It is more economical for someone that fishes regularly than buying the 2oz size.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I've lathered this on DOA and Zman shrimp and nothing. No bites, not even nibbles. Throw on a berkley gulp shrimp and I'm getting bites and hooking fish.

I use this on my Zman paddle tails. About every 20-30 casts I squirt more on. This stuff noticeably catches more fish. I’ve had redfish come out of a hole and swim upstream to but my lure just after dousing this stuff on my paddle tail. Don’t believe me? Works great for adding scent to any saltwater bait. I couldn't find any local so I turned to Amazon and there it was. Bottle seems to last a long time and I have seen first hand how fish react better to even hard baits with some of this applied.

I will change my review if things change, but so far I have yet to catch a fish with this stuff, not even trash fish. To be fair though, the fish around here (especially speckled trout) can be so picky that many days they won't touch a fresh dead shrimp but will tear up a live one.
