Billy Maroulis : These work great other than the tails always get bitten off

These work great other than the tails always get bitten off, then becomes almost useless. I add these to my fluke rigs on a spro bucktail. I like the 6" for the larger tail but I cut about an inch off of the front (head) so the hook comes out closer to the tail as that is the area these fluke seem to strike and kill the tails. It may be good to use a stinger hook set up. I haven't tried that yet but will this year.

Finest Kind : TOO SOFT!!!

MUCH TOO SOFT! Berkeley made a BAD business decision. They may be temporarily increasing sales by forcing anglers to buy more product, but in the long run it is turning anglers off to the product and forcing us to find alternatives.

This and all GULP products have been remormulated SOFTER than they were a couple years ago. No doubt about that at all.
Search JOHN SKINNER videos on you tube and watch him catch over 20 fluke in a row unedited, on one bait. Now with the new "ALIVE" formulation the baits get torn up and need to be replaced after one fish. The tails get chewed off much too easily, especially when Fluking and trying to weed through the Sea Robbins or Seabass....one little nibble from those "interference fish" and your bait is tail-less....worthless for Fluke without the flutter action.

If you are looking for an advantage while fishing for fluke/summer flounder, buy this. The fish love it, and it works alone or with other baits. I use the 6" when I'm looking for bigger fish, and the 4" for smaller fish. A must have. Chartreuse seems to work the best for me.
