Does it work with perch

Answer: Probably not. But I caught a seven pound walleye on it. It's primarily a bass bait and they love them. I have caught allot of bass on them. However northern pike like them also and take allot of baits!

Is this considered a casting jig / arkey?

Answer: yes,casting jiging 1/4 oz -1/2oz 3/16 jigs works great weedless jigs just pick your color and weight.good luck fishing.

Great jig but I lost this one first cast in a tree after crying for a minute used the backup one I had and caught a 3 pound bass that was under the tree where I was intending to drop my first cast.

I had the same thing happen when I bought 20 different jigs from that brand. Only 1 fell off but it was because the skirt wasn't on there right. But the best is green with dots an a double tailed grub!
