What is the size of this marinater?
Answer: It's a decent size but I am very disappointed with it. In fact it is no longer in use. After using it probably 10 times one of the handles broke off and then we noticed cracking in the lid at the center where you use the plunger to take out the air. I had a different brand which I can no longer find for 5 years before it wore out. Very disappointed in this item as for the price of it you would expect better quality! Shop around. There has to be a better one out there.
Answer: It is a smaller size than what I had before but we are only a family of 2. It is about 6"x6"x3" high. The one I had before was Vacu Vin marinator and it is also available thru Amazon. I hope this helps you and you find the right one for yourself.
Answer: I don't recall now. I must have drawn more vacuum than was necessary and the container imploded. Broke into many sharp pieces of plastic. Scared the hell out of me but was luckily uninjured.

This is a really good product but it's cheaply made. What you are supposed to do is put your meat and marinade in the bowl and put the cover on top which has hinges for each side that clamp down. They break easily so make sure to be VERY delicate with them. After your put the lid on you take the pump and place it on top of the red area in the center of the lid shown in the photo, and pump the air out of it by pulling up and pushing down. You will see the lid being pressurized if you look/watch close enough. If you don't go slow with the pump you can hurt yourself by getting your finger pinched. You then push the red center down quickly to let out some air.
It does a great job marinating but it does break easily. They should make replacement lids. I used mine about four times before the hinge snapped.

Used three times before the vacuum imploded it. Sounded like a shotgun being fired. Threw plactic chips everywhere. Dangerous. I must say it did work well before it destroyed itself.

Purchased this as saw Ad on TV. well it Does Not Do as they say it does. they only thing i believe is that it puts it into a vaccumm so food will not go bad as fast.
you also need to puncture the Meat / Chicked for the sauce to soak-in.
the item does not work unitl you put some oil around the plastic cover and the center secton also. if you don't you can place under water and watch it fill up witn only 6 pumps. must lubricate the hand punmp also as it needs help.
best would purchase the 45 pin meat tenderizer and soak the meat in a Tupperware bowl with a top

Bought on Woot this past May and it was broken by Mid-October after 3 or 4 uses. The plastic latches broke off and had no way of being repaired. Strangely enough, two latches broke off simply when I went to grab the box to use! Just weak plastic... I do not recommend this item.
