Answer: I use a 4/0 worm hook or a 3/16 oz. darter jig head.

Answer: Yes I like to texas rig (Extra Wide Gap hook) these. When done this way the hook tip sits just inside the lure, so that it's less likely to hang up, but will still set hook.

I've been fishing all my life and never found anything that catches bass like this! Use it behind a small bullet sinker so you can cast it and it runs a little below the surface. I've had some short hits so tomorrow I'm trying a stinger hook. Stock up on the Shore Lunch!

I love love love Lizard Baits, and Zoom lizards are my go to. I catch small and largemouth bass, northern, walleye, and even slab-sized crappie on these. I like watermelon, pumpkin, and red colored Lizard baits.

This solves two of "my" fishing problems. (1) They are not live bait, so I can store them in the truck with a rod and reel and just get right to it. (2) They really work. I use a #10 fishing hook, and spear it through the head, then into the shank and form my own little salamander that needs to be eaten. It seems to work best if I let it sink for 10 seconds and then just do a revolution on the reel every 5 seconds. The bass do like it, and they seem to hit pretty close to the bank and weeds with this one. Glad I found them.

I gave it 4 stars because it helped save my recent fishing trip. NOTHING was working. I was a man adrift with no hope and no plan.

After 8 hours of catching NOTHING...the FIRST cast I made with this lizard got hammered. The lizard went on a magical run after that. Everywhere I threw it I caught bass. It literally save my trip.

The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it's not durable. The head rips on the first hit, then you have to start hooking it differently, or cutting rubber away to get to a spot that's not split. This could not be described as "durable" in any sense of the word...it's just not. However...I'd rather have an effective lure than a highly durable one that's ineffective.

I might wrap a small piece of duct tape around the head next time.

Great lure. I came home and bought 10 packs. You can find them on sale in the mid 2 dollar range if you look around.

I have always loved the Zoom brand and I bought this item as an add on. I use this product when I go largemouth bass fishing in Florida and it always gets the job done. Bass love to hate these. About a month ago I couldn't keep enough in my tackle box. The bass hit them hard. If you want to know if they're around, throw one of these in the water. They might just rip the tail off, but most times, they take the hook.

One of the best fresh water lures I have ever used in my 40+ years of fishing. Ideal for bass angling in freshwater lakes and brackish estuaries. These critters really bring in the lunkers, and are extremely durable for multiple casts. Always keep a couple of bagfuls in my tackle box!

Edited to note that they may bring in smaller fish, but are designed more for bass.

P.S. These are 6-inches long. :D

Bought red shad color and it came in a dark red almost red wine color with no glitter specks inside the lure shown in the picture but still a cheap and ok lure haven't tested it out yet but hopefully it will produce

These are handy to keep in the glovebox incase you need them in a pinch. I don't have a problem. You have a problem. Seriously though, inexpensive and handy. Haven't actually caught anything, but I think that's seasonally driven. Waters a bit cold here.
