Answer: I use a 4/0 worm hook or a 3/16 oz. darter jig head.

Answer: Yes I like to texas rig (Extra Wide Gap hook) these. When done this way the hook tip sits just inside the lure, so that it's less likely to hang up, but will still set hook.

Answer: From tip to tip ... just like the package, about 6 inches. I rip them in half (because the hook would be less likely to take a hit from a 6 inch) and use them twice.

This solves two of "my" fishing problems. (1) They are not live bait, so I can store them in the truck with a rod and reel and just get right to it. (2) They really work. I use a #10 fishing hook, and spear it through the head, then into the shank and form my own little salamander that needs to be eaten. It seems to work best if I let it sink for 10 seconds and then just do a revolution on the reel every 5 seconds. The bass do like it, and they seem to hit pretty close to the bank and weeds with this one. Glad I found them.

One of the best fresh water lures I have ever used in my 40+ years of fishing. Ideal for bass angling in freshwater lakes and brackish estuaries. These critters really bring in the lunkers, and are extremely durable for multiple casts. Always keep a couple of bagfuls in my tackle box!

Edited to note that they may bring in smaller fish, but are designed more for bass.

P.S. These are 6-inches long. :D

I love love love Lizard Baits, and Zoom lizards are my go to. I catch small and largemouth bass, northern, walleye, and even slab-sized crappie on these. I like watermelon, pumpkin, and red colored Lizard baits.
