Vincent : Excellent Winter Crankbait

The Shad Rap 05 and Shallow Shad Rap 05 are steady producers when larger crank baits just are not working. When retrieved very slowly, both are excellent winter cranking lures for bass with water temperature in the 40s. During pre-spawn with water temperature in the 50s, crank them over and through shallow weeds, pausing for an instant to let them slowly rise a bit when hitting cover, and bass strike them hard. I've caught largemouth bass weighing up to 5 pounds on these slim profile, 2 inch lures. Be sure to use a spinning outfit since they are very light, weighing a mere 3/16 of an ounce.

This is an amazing lure! My son borrowed mine and hung into a 12 pound largemouth after the second cast! It has a nice natural action and looks very real. I highly reccomend this lure for bank casting on small lakes.
