What color should I get this in?

Answer: Depends I got the silver shad because it is more like the color of the minnows in the lakes I fish but I'd recommend the same strategy for you but with the lakes you fish. If you don't know get the silver it worked for me.

Answer: Probably not, its small and the hooks are tiny. I normally use this for casting and have landed a sizeable tarpon even though the hooks are small. I was nervous to use this type of lure since ive never heard good things from local fisherman about them. Boy were they wrong! This thing produced from the first cast. In my first trip out with it it produced both black crappie and large mouth bass with ease. I caught fish with both traditional cast and retrieval and while trolling.
