would this work for the gramin striker 4?

Would this work with a lowrance hook2 7x fish finder? does it swivel/rotate the fish finder once mounted?

Answer: I ordered this based off the answer to this question and was disappointed. This mount is really nice and works great but it is WAY to light weight for a 7 inch fish finder. Wobbles like crazy even tightened down. Get one with a 1.5" ball. This is for lighter weight duties.

Answer: You just have to measure what you need. I made mine out of wood and painted it black because it doesn't contact the water.

What can I say, I cannibalized my Scotty 150 to get the 1" balls and use them on DSC radio mounts.
I did use a Scotty 151 for its intended purpose, though, and it makes a great rod mount.
Scotty has re-invented the 1" ball mount + accessory, made it much more versatile, more rigid, and stronger. If you look at the other brand 1" ball accessory/track, etc. mount, the ball has a hollow cylinder right down the center that lets it collapse when you really crank on it trying to cantilever some weight off your mount. Scotty turned that around, and put the nylok nut in the top of the ball to add rigidity, and it doubled the usable load of the 1-inch ball.
The good news is, beginning this month, Scotty is distributing the 158 1" ball track mounts to their retailers. It changes the game.
