Are you guys throwing these swimming senko baits with weighted swimbait hooks, Texas rigged, or just a plain offset hook?

Answer: When it's hot, I use the weighted option. I use Texas rig most of time. No weight if temperatures are 70-80.

Answer: I use them on a Bass hook #4 if I recall. I also use a small bullet weight. I do lots of trolling with them. In MN I use the white & the blue swim bates. Bass & Northern hit them here. I also hook them to run weedless. Hope this helps. Cheers

Are you guys rigging this Swimming Senko Texas style, weighted swimbait hooks, or what?

Answer: I use them as a trailer on 1 or 1.5 oz. flip'n jig; you could rig it Texas style with a 2/0 EWG hook with a 1/8th oz. worm weight. Peg the weight.

Answer: Yes, always Texas rig. Just a standard offset worm hook with a slip sinker

Answer: Per bag. Not sue how many in the 5 inch, as I use a larger size. The smaller the swimbait, the more per bag.

These have worked best for me when I rip them in half and out them on a jighead. The bass love them like that, but never got a single nibble when I put a whole one in the water. But, that’s fishing.

I just got these and took them to our pond that I fish fairly often.When I began using this I got no strikes using it in the usual way you would use an artificial worm. Then I began casting it and reeling it in. On the first cast I caught a bass. Worm was torn up some but I got it to hold on for a second cast and caught another. I think I ended up catching about nine in about an hour and a half. What is interesting is I first used a Rapala with no strikes and a Zoom worm with no strikes. So it may have been the time of day change, but these seem to work great. It is only one day of testing but I am impressed.

I have tried virtually every brand of plastic worm and they almost all work sometimes. For me, Yamamoto plastics have far outperformed every other brand. Unfortunately, what makes them so effective also seems to make them very expensive. The purchase price is high and I go through a lot on a typical fishing trip. I have been able to increase my catch per senko by using Owner screw lock keepers rather than standard worm hooks, but to keep them swimming and falling properly I still don't get more than two or three fish per senko. Still, better than the one fish per senko I usually get when using standard offset worm hooks.

While not exactly the same as a Senko, this bait will catch fish when most others won't. I typically Florida rig these on a 1/8th bullet and a 5/0 Gamakatsu Superline EWG for both fresh and saltwater applications. The best part is that the ripped Swim Senkos become great Chatterbait trailers and can continue to keep catching more fish!

This is a great bait I have been using for years now. I use a 7/0 or 8/0 extra wide gap hook with this which works like a keel on them and helps to hook fish that short strike this bait. This bait works in every season of the year and hooks fish at any or no speed. In shallow weedy waters this is one of the few baits I use that can catch more fish than weeds. Just use a worm weight in front of the bait should you want to run it deeper. I would recommend you do some serious shopping and buy these things up when you can get them for sven or less dollars. They are a bit fragile and you will go through a bag easy on a great day of fishing.

Roland Martin can’t be wrong! Great bait. My only complaint is fish tear them apart too easily. My only guess is the flimsy plastic has a lot to do with how well they move. These and green pumpkin senko are my go to plastics.
