Are you guys throwing these swimming senko baits with weighted swimbait hooks, Texas rigged, or just a plain offset hook?

Answer: When it's hot, I use the weighted option. I use Texas rig most of time. No weight if temperatures are 70-80.

Answer: I use them on a Bass hook #4 if I recall. I also use a small bullet weight. I do lots of trolling with them. In MN I use the white & the blue swim bates. Bass & Northern hit them here. I also hook them to run weedless. Hope this helps. Cheers

Are you guys rigging this Swimming Senko Texas style, weighted swimbait hooks, or what?

Answer: I use them as a trailer on 1 or 1.5 oz. flip'n jig; you could rig it Texas style with a 2/0 EWG hook with a 1/8th oz. worm weight. Peg the weight.

Answer: Yes, always Texas rig. Just a standard offset worm hook with a slip sinker

Answer: Per bag. Not sue how many in the 5 inch, as I use a larger size. The smaller the swimbait, the more per bag.

These have worked best for me when I rip them in half and out them on a jighead. The bass love them like that, but never got a single nibble when I put a whole one in the water. But, that’s fishing.

I got this in the mail the other day and decided to go try it out as this is my favorite color senko. On my very first cast I got a hit by a three pound large mouth. The tail goes around in almost a circular motion and not simply back and forth. It will obviously move a bit different depending on how you hook it and I went with a Texas style rigging and it works great. This is a must have in any tackle box and this particular one is not sold in my local Dick's Sporting Goods store so if you are reading this, save yourself the travel time and pick it up now!

Best plastic for Florida bass. Just enough action and weight to control. I think the scent and gritty compound are the extras that help it outperform. Only complaints are durability (a few solid fish and you’ll have to change) and cost. But it’s what I always go for despite that. Still get 5 stars from me.

My go to bait when it comes to big bass in florida. Always use a weightless texas rig on a 2 or 3. Primarily pop it off the bottom with 2-4 sec pauses. Usually always get the strike on the pause. For me slower has always meant better with this bait. I have also caught some monsters dragging it on top of moss and lilies with water breaks in between. I can pretty much show up to any pond or lake in central and northeast fl and get the job done with this senko swim bait. I use the 5" green pumpkin with black specs and the baby bass color works well too. Always use the gatamatsu ewg worm hooks in 2 or 3 in red. Go get em.....

These are the best bait's I've ever used. However you can't get them in Canada where I live and have to pay a huge mark up and fortune to have them shipped from the states. Paying 30 dollars for something that should cost 10 at most.

I've used these a couple of times since I bought them. They really work well. The ponds I fish are dark and have low visibility. I think swim action of the tail puts out more vibration than the regular senko and gets the fishes attention.

I love these for large mouth bass. I caught a 6 pounder on one of my first trips using this 5 inch Swimsenko, pumpkin with black flakes. In lakes and rivers I fish it with a number 3 or 4 weighted worm hook -- those Gamakatsu hooks with springs at the top -- and get many many strikes. It works for smallmouth as well, of course, but largemouth really seem to go for it.

fishing fanatic : Great bait, but can be expensive

This is a great bait I have been using for years now. I use a 7/0 or 8/0 extra wide gap hook with this which works like a keel on them and helps to hook fish that short strike this bait. This bait works in every season of the year and hooks fish at any or no speed. In shallow weedy waters this is one of the few baits I use that can catch more fish than weeds. Just use a worm weight in front of the bait should you want to run it deeper. I would recommend you do some serious shopping and buy these things up when you can get them for sven or less dollars. They are a bit fragile and you will go through a bag easy on a great day of fishing.

This review is on the 4” green pumpkin black flake. I liked the size when I bought them but they just fit on a 4/0 hook. I don’t like to fish anything smaller then a 4/0 as the fish tend to swallow anything smaller if they are aggressive. I Texas rigged them. First of all they caught the hell out of largemouths in my lake. I went through most of the bag in a couple of hours. Here are a couple of things that weren’t perfect at least on the 4”. The point of the hook comes back thru right at the start of the tail. It has great action but the head has that dimple in it. The eye tends to slide up and out of the worm. If you get a hit or brush something you have to fix it constantly. The answer at least for me is maybe buy the 5” and cut the head past the dimple. Oh yeah, they are expensive and the bass tear them up easily. That’s it. It’s hard to complain about GY baits. They all are such good quality and they just plain catch fish better then most of the others. I would recommend this one in a minute. That whole back third of the bait wags and it’s a little different action then other swimmers. Good fishing!
