Answer: I prefer shad sent for all types and color lures and for many different species of fish.I even use it on live bait if the fish are finicky. Might be a coincidence but it seems to work well for me!!

How many casts does the scent last?

Answer: I wouldn't say this is an expert opinion so much as an educated guess, but it lasts about 4-5 casts. I used it and it seemed to work. However, it is spray on so the effects will wear off after several casts.

Answer: It never has harmed any of mine. Although I don’t generally use very expensive lures. Great on plastics!!

does this anise work well for large mouth bass or the crawfish scent? i can only afford one.

Answer: I have never used it in salt water. I use the shad scented BANG in inland lakes and it works great.

Can I use this in saltwater and deep water?

Answer: you can try :) but its a lot more to it,you have to know what fish eat that time of the year, srimp,or bags, or minnows, or fish eggs,and use this product accordingly,different flavors, for different season. also watch tide and feeding times, every 4-6 h if you fishing in the salt,or brakish waters,and fish sensitive to barometric pressure too :) Good luck!

Answer: I would assume so. In deep water fish slow and salt water should have no effect on this incredible bait.

Answer: I personally have not used it in salt water but I'm sure it would work fine. Works well in shallow or deep water.

Answer: It's meant to be sprayed on baits in any type of water, but I haven't tested it myself yet. It's supposed to enhance the smell of bait fish local to the area. The depth or type of water shouldn't be a factor.

Answer: Sorry, I don't know. I only used it in fresh water. The only way to find out it to try it yourself and see if it works.

The can doesn't spray properly. It sprays out two directions at once, wasting half of it.

Does it work? I don't know. The awkward spraying is too frustrating to use.

So.. I have a jig with a little spinner on, caught some fish with that. Sprayed some of this attractant and HOLY GOD! I've caught, crappie, bass, bluegill, catfish several times during the day.. on spinner jig! This spray does what it says. I saw it at walmart first, and thought there's no way, but boy was I wrong!!!

I have been using Bang fish attractants for years. The crawfish formula is the one I use the most. I have been asked many times if I think it really works or helps. My answer has always been "It doesn't hurt!" Actually, I am not sure how effective the scent is for attracting fish to a bait. However, I do know that when a fish hits a bait with the attractant on it, they will hold onto that bait for a longer period of time giving the fisherman some extra time to detect a hit and set the hook. If they are close to the bait the attractant will work but it is not designed to attract fish from 20 yards away. I fish a jig quite a lot and would feel lost without my bang. The shad formula works well on spinnerbaits and crankbaits.
