product description
Small Crankbait: These amazing lures gained popularity from their SMALL PROFILE and amazing action they exhibit. No other small crankbait has this great combination of GREAT CASTING DISTANCE, PHENOMENAL SWIMMING ACTION, IMPRESSIVE MANEUVERABILITY, and REAL LIFE LIKE DESIGN. Originally made specifically for trout and smaller pan fish, anglers soon found out that there isn't a fish that these lures will not catch. One of the great features of the design is that they work great in high current situations like rivers, streams, and creeks, but also in non-current situations such as lakes, reservoirs, and ponds. You will be amazed at the response you will get from the action you feel in your rod tip when swimming these small lures. Target Trout, Bass (Large and Small Mouth), Pike, Walleye, Perch, Crappie, Steelhead, and any other baitfish using these well-crafted, optimally weighted lures.

Q:

Answer: These lures contain mutiple bb's to create a rattle
Q:
What type of fish do you target with the Glimmer Trout?
Answer: Smallmouth bass killer in stream, but it catches everything. My largest fish on an HD Trout is a 22" largemouth bass. Does great catching trout, and panfish too.
Answer: Walleyes -Effective, Canada
Answer: Rainbow and German Brown
Q:
How many ounces are these?
Answer: Its light. I'd say no more than a 1/4oz
Q:
Can it catch Catfish?
Answer: You can get lucky and catch a catfish, and I have gutted catfish and found artificial softbaits inside them, but you're better off soaking something smelly for catfish.
Answer: It can but generally speaking, catfish are hard to catch on artificial bait.
Answer: Yes. They work for a variety of species of fish.
Answer: No bass and trout
Answer: Generally catfish are bottom feeders. This plug runs rather shallow. Occasionally you might catch a channel cat because they feed on Shad occasionally. I would not use this plug the catch catfish as a rule. It would be better for bass and trout.
Answer: Not intended for catfish. By design it would not appeal to them.
Q:
Seller are you going to get more 3 inch Firetiger in?
Answer: Yes I probably will if the prices are still reasonable.
Q:
Do carp really go for these?
Answer: Not really. To fast action.
Answer: Carp are primarily bottom feeders so it is not ideal.
Q:
Which color is more like a bliegill ?
Answer: I would say the Ghost Fish or the Holofoil Silver.
Q:
Do these work on stock trout?
Answer: Not sure but they do work on bass pike perch and even pan fish

Q:
Can i adda a half ounce weight 2 feet in front to run deeper? Or would that ruin the action? Thanks
Answer: Shiuldn’t hurt the action but go at least four feet.
Answer: You can. But it's designed for direct line action and your response would also be impeded. Good luck! Fish master
Answer: I have never done it,but I don't think it would be bad
Answer: I have no idea to this question
Q:
Can you these in small streams
Answer: Tried it out on Lycoming creek(a local trout stream) and caught a 20 in.rainbow trout...looks like I will be using this lure a LOT !!

Q:
Can i use this on a Baitcaster?
Answer: If you can cast light lures without a backlash. I use spinning gear. Do not buy if you are not capable of casting rapalas or jigs..
Answer: Yes
Answer: Yes.
Q:
Could I use this with a medium rod?
Answer: Yes you could... There are other considerations like string weight and what you are fishing for but I use a 6'6" medium Ugly Stick and have caught 5lb channel catfish (we have weird fish in one of our lakes) with no problems.
Answer: I would think so. Less stiff rods work well crank baits. The stiffer a rod is, the more difficult it is to cast. I prefer a medium rod for plugs and a stiffer rod for artificial worms.
Answer: Yes
Answer: yes
Q:
Hi, what is the size of this lure?
Answer: 2 1/4 inches long form the tail hook eye to the nose eye, weight is 0.05oz or 2 grams.. I hope this is what you wanted to know.
Q:
Has anyone used these for carp? Which color? If not what would you use?
Answer: These work great for carp. The color to use really depends on the water conditions. The Glimmer Trout, Trout Natural, Silver Black work best in clearer water conditions. The brighter colored lures such as the Fire Craw, Fire Tiger, and BA Special excel in muddier water conditions.
Answer: The river near me has a lot of carp and I have never caught a carp with a crank bait style lure,I personally don't fish for carp but the guys around here (S.E.Mi.)are using corn,Arkansas rig with a crawler or bread.(they squeeze the bread on the hook get it wet and squeeze it again and the bread stays on pretty good, cast it easy.
Q:
Are they bright when they glow?
Answer: I did not know they glowed.
Answer: The models i bought are not the glow ones all i can say it there build is nice and i am happy with the quality.
Q:
Can you use braided fishing line with it?
Answer: I do not see why not. I use monofilament and fire line for most my fishing with plugs If other similar plugs cast well enough with braided line, it should be ok. I think there are better choices than braided but it should work. These are light weight and intended for casting.
Answer: Yes absolutely. Simply tie the line directly to the lure tip ring. Some people use a leader but it works either way, directly on the ring or with a leader.
Answer: First...I love this lure! I have not used BL with it but from experience I don't see why knot..lol. Maybe try a mono leader just in case. ? Fish on!
Answer: Yes you can use braid just remember to use knots intended for braid line.
Answer: I prefer to use a light mono leader. 4-6#
Answer: yes
Q:
do you still make the model eg-112 autumn bass ghost colar code 551g
Q:
what is the best color for the black bass
Answer: there is not a simple answer to that question. It all depends on where you fish, clarity of water, what type of bait fish in the area, etc., etc. ….
Answer: Sorry. Fish for trout and salmon only.
Q:
What kind of weight/ leader do you use with these?
Answer: hi jon c ..I.really don't use any weight on my trout lures and for these dynamic lures I fish out of my kayak and I use 2 to 4 pouns test lines ..I get a pretty good cast with no.weight ..hope it helps and good fishing buddy
Answer: Simply attach them to your line. No need for additional weight or a swivel. A small weight can be added for deeper applications but is not required.
Answer: no weight and 4 to 6 lb line
Q:
Can these be used for sea fishing? Any idea which color would work best for tuna fishing?
Answer: I wouldn't use it in the sea plus i think a tuna will destroy it
Q:
Does it Float?
Answer: As I recall, it is a semi-floater. That is, it floats about 1-2 feet below the surface.
Answer: It is designed to be worked surface to 2 feet underwater. It has air chambers to keep it buoyant but also has rattling bbs to keep it off the top of the water. The small lip on the front also allows it to dive when reeled in.
Answer: SLOW SINKING FISHING LURE - Optimal Target Depth 0-2 feet
Q:
are the hooks good or should they be changed out?
Answer: Hooks can be better, but not needed. I tore up bows and lake trout up to 3 lbs. No problems and still goin. Good luck. Its great!
Answer: Per the manufacturer:
Answer: Hooks are fine. Caught five bass on the first time I used it. They were in the 13"-14" range, but had no problem setting the hook.
Answer: They are perfectly fine hooks.
Answer: I have not had any issues with the hooks. This is a smaller bait and very unlikely to have a hook failures.
Q:
What color and size would be best for catching bass and trout ?
Answer: The HD Trout is designed specifically for Trout fishing. The color would depend on water conditions. The darker colors work best in clearer water conditions while the lighter/brighter colors excel in darker/murkier water.
Answer: Both sizes are good for trout. I happen to like the 2 1/4 size and for color any can catch trout. Again I happen to like natural fish colors but depending on the type of day and water clarity could depend on color.
Answer: depends on size of fish targeted and forage in the environment
Q:
Novice question coming! i'll be in the adirondack region ny on a wide slow part of the ausable river. which dynamic lure should i try?
Answer: Any of the trout or minnow colors for trout on the Ausable river, I don`t know of anyone fishing for walleyes on the Ausable river!
Answer: I've used the pink one with great success in Canada for Walleyes.
Q:
Can you use on downriggers
Answer: I have to say that I believe these lures were just designed to throw from a spin cast or such. I would think that they are too small to use on downriggers or even just trolling. I think they are rated for a dive depth of 2'-6'.
Q:
which one is the ghost perch lure?
Answer: The Ghost Perch is Brown with dark brown stripes
Answer: It's the white and blue eyes one

zipykido : Great lures for great price
I've been using these lures in rivers, mainly offset areas where it gets shallower and there's a bunch of cover. I've only used them so far on 6lb mono on medium action rod. Most importantly they do catch fish as shown by the pictures below. I was using a silver/blue version and hitting bass pretty consistently but the glimmer trout also works well. I managed to get a bite on my first cast of the day (always a bonus) and hit the trifecta of largemouth, smallmouth and pike (major species in my area) in one day.
Pros:
1. Cheap, much cheaper than Rapalas.
2. American company, based in CO. I ordered directly from their website and accidentally had my shipping information wrong. I got it resolved very quickly and professionally.
3. Easy to cast, they're only 1/10 oz but they cast very well.
4. Great action. I can feel the swimming action on the tip of my rod. Make sure you use medium/light or ultralight gear. Very sporadic if you're twitching and great swim action on a steady retrieve.
5. Quality build. I've smacked these against rocks and cement and ripped them through weeds without an issue. I haven't noticed any wear on the paintjob at all.
Cons:
1. Not a major con but double treble hooks means that they aren't very weedless (as expected). But you can easily remove hooks. I'll have to test the action of them without the front treble. Also they really mess up fish sometimes, as well as when I try to net the fish.
2. Also as mentioned in one of the other reviews, but the front hook often gets caught in the line. Maybe every 1 in 10 casts depending on the conditions. Messes up the swimming action and potentially misses fish.
If you order from Dynamic Lures directly you can get a discount and they also sell a sample pack of 10 for $50 so for $5 a lure or less you can have a pretty good time catching stuff.
timothy.p.marchant : Fun to fish with

Trout : DEADLY For Trout
I've used this for multiple months this spring into early summer in many different lakes that all had stocked rainbow trout. My preferred set up is to tie the lure directly on the fishing line and troll it at a slow to slow/medium speed. My trolling motor doesn't have a speedometer so I usually troll it at speed 2/5 to 3/5. I own multiple colors including the natural and black/gold. I found that the natural color catches much more fish. In lakes where I know the trout are boiling I can pull in a fish every 10-20 minutes. I've even used this in lakes where the fishing is slow and out of all of the gear trolled between 2 people, this lure caught more fish and sometimes was the only thing the fish were biting. This has even out fished rapalas, wedding ring type lures with bait, and even lines that were dropped on a downrigger. This is a surface action lure that only dives a couple feet but fish seem to come up for it. I've caught trout of all sizes on it but the average range is 10in-12in rainbow trout. Smaller fish have taken it but I believe the size of the fish is more dependent on your area. The rattle noise it gives off excites the fish and allows for more hits and it does have a nice wiggle motion. I think of this lure as a true trolling lure as that is how I typically use it but I have casted it a few times and found that it works well for casting. I was actually surprised and thought it wouldn't get out there too far but you are able to cast it a good distance. If you don't own any of these yet I recommend buying the natural color first to try even if it is a plan B or C. If the fish aren't biting much of anything else, this lure should get them to bite. I gave a 4 star rating (but really more like a 4.5 star) because of a small issue. The front treble gets caught on the line every once and awhile when letting out line trolling. When casting I found that this happens way more often especially if there's some current. When this happens the motion is completely ruined but fro trolling it happens so rarely that it is not much of a bother. To summarize: great lure, worth the buy, out fishes many other lures and encourages bites even on the slow days.

Jway_369 : Fish alert
Used first time today casted about 10 times and pulled up 3 fish. Man do they love this little guy
cerak : perfect
satisfied with the product
greg horne : Awesome lure
Great quality bait great movement awesome colors. I caught smallmouth bass, also red eyes, a small type of that grows only a maxim of 10 to 14 inches. Most are 6 to 10 inches. But 35 to forty fish. Awesome bait. Fish can't resist the bait.
Joe Smoe : Five Stars
Caught a 24 inch steelhead 1 hr ago on my 5th cast!
Ron S : It’s got some moves
Nice natural fleeting minnow action on these. I do not use a swivel, I get better action tying directly to the bait.
Woodrow Dotson : Careful what you order
As with a previous review I ordered Glimmer Trout and received Trout Natural. Though I have not test the several I bought due to a postponed trip, I would say this is disappointing and since they won't take it back (per the other reviewer),I wont's take the chance and reorder. Otherwise, looks like a quality product but not cheap.

This is a good lure for your money it comes with very strong hooks. I live in south Florida and we use little lures like this for Oscars and other panfish. I have caught 4 peacock bass on this lure the first day I bought it and will be buying 4 more in different colors.
P.S. it says on the package not to use a swivel would advise not to do that as recommended.
Arbs72 : Good price and good quality!
Good size lure for the trout. I got 2 good size trout. The price of this lure and the quality are excellent. I’ll buy again...
Kimberly Kilgore : Great action from this little crankbait!
There are a lot of ways to use this little crank. With a reliable slow sink and incredibly erratic action when jerked, it definitely gets the attention of interested fish. I use it in a large reservoir for Bass and Walleye who look at a large population of gizzard shad as a forage base. Throwing this little sinking crank into a shad boil can be effective. The smaller profile, slow sink, and quick/erratic response to rod twitches, it mimics a wounded shad like no other hardbait I've seen in those situations. It weighs just 1/10th oz so don't use this on any higher than 8lb test or else you won't get much casting distance at all. 6lb test is probably about right depending on the action of your rod.
Michael Ballard : Prompt shipping.. I really can't say anything negative ...
Prompt shipping. . I really can't say anything negative, except I ordered 3 different lures and a received 2 alike ... that's all
Tony : BASS LOVE IT
Great product, the way it works attracts a lot of fish!! It is a must own product if you love big bass

What can I say? These lures WORK. A couple rough days fishing various lakes in Colorado were enough proof that throwing a Dynamic will soon have you reeling in a keeper! Trout and bass all day from sunny skies to rain just a few lure changes an the HD trout kept bringing em in. Can't wait to try out Dynsmic's hydralux line.
ChaseA : Love this Lure!

Amazon Customer : Muy bueno
Lleno mis expectativas
Moud : Four Stars
Color is good, action too, seems promising
Brooks Venuti : This will catch almost anything!
I've been using these lures for several months now, and I've caught countless rainbows and walleyes on it. Also got my PB cutbow at 26". The slow sink is awesome and really lets you control the depth you fish. The wiggle action is great, even when reeling super slowly. Very impressed and will continue to buy.
Joanne : Love these lures
Love these lures! Use them for trout and they consistently produce. Glimmer trout color works well for me. This was a replacement for one that I had that was showing some wear and tear from getting so many hits. Can't go wrong with these lures!
Josiah Gordon : Worth it
Killer on lake trout when trolled with weight

Amazon Customer : Very good bargain
It has good action, dives a little deeper than expected even with a slow retrieve. The trout color was a killer on walleye, just don't use it where a shallow presentation is needed. At least 7 feet of water is prudent. All in all I would buy it again
Buana : Five Stars
Realistic with great detail.

Jason S. Brunell : Killer
Small but casts good. Catch everything from 17" large mouth to 18" brown trout. White is my favorite.

Cranks nice. Caught a fish. I'd stay with Repala or Rebel or Cotton Cordell Jerkbaits.... They are made tougher.
John : Great tips on the package!
Arrived on time. The pattern looks very natural with detailed fades as colors transition. Really great action no matter what speed. There are helpful presentation tips on the back of the package to help entice pickier trout!
