Answer: You aren't buying the pole. You're buying the net. The pole is sold separately, which I had reservations about....but after buying the cheaper stuff and having all of them break? Yeah...this is solid and durable. Quality has a price tag, as it should, and all the cheapies that Amazon is so quick to promote? I tried them, and they're junk. Twice Cheap isn't cheap. Save yourself the time, frustration and expense. If you need a net, you need a good net. This is as good as they come.

Why do they sell the net but not link to the handle?

Answer: Its a handle system with multiple attachments and this is one of them. Just look up the shurhold handle and pick your length. Its a nice rugged net.

Answer: Shurhold is a modular system. Once you have the handle there are several different attachments available. There’s a boat hook, 2 different nets, several mop/brush attachments. That way you don’t have multiple handles. Just the end tools.

Answer: No, it is an accessory for the Shurhold system. Just like you buy the brushes separately. 30" is the depth.. I find it to work well for my needs.

Somehow I missed that the extension handle wasn't included. I think I can still catch a rooster without one, or maybe I'll jam a stick inside, since my skylight extension handle won't fit. The handles I now see listed to go with the crab net are longer than I need. Also too expensive.

First I'll admit I don't know much about buying fishing/crabbing gear. I was trying to buy the "perfect" father's day gift. Please pay extra attention that the net is just an attachment...THE POLE IS SOLD SEPAREATELY!!!! Also Amazon.com through Boater's World doesn't sell the needed Shurhold Telescoping Handle..I have checked both the amazon.com for the product and have gone through boatersworld.com to locate the product. I did however contact my local Boater's World and they have the handle. Bottom Line the item (to me) seems a bit pricy... $19.99 + 6.95 (shipping) for the net & $26.99 + tax seems to be a lot of money for a simple crabbing net! Hope the product last! Feeling kinda cheated for the amount of money that I spent...

I actually had to use this twice in one day a week from getting it lol. It's like I bought it just in time. My sailboat heeled and some items went over. This thing snapped on fast and was easy to use. Thank your shurhold for the integrated products. Note this is just the net you need to by the pole separately. But with all the other items that fit the shurhold like the brushes, this whole product line is awesome. Expensive but the quality is there so its worth it.
