How should you use this jig?

Answer: Jig it. Maybe ad a plastic swim bait. Depends on what you are fishing for.

Answer: I use my bucktails when targeting fish near the bottom like halibut, rockfish and lingcod in Central and Northern California. I like to put a fresh dead squid on the hook and drop it down to the bottom and crank it up a little bit. Then just bounce your bait and jig around until you get a strike. You can try slowly retrieving it until you get a strike as well.

Answer: First I use gulp product on hook cast out let it sink jig it three or four times let it sink repeat if on boat drop to bottom jig bucktail nonstop make sure when drifting you are on bottom try to keep line straight up and down

What size gulp do you recommend for this

Answer: Depending on how you want to hook it you could use a small gulp for smell and a little movement or a 5" for a tight fit and lots of movement. I have not tried it but you might even be able to get away with a 8" on here. I like to try and keep everything inside the bucktail, but I know others would look for even more action protruding from the bucktail.

Answer: IT will vary, but fairly heavy. Depends on surf. Maybe half oz for most

Answer: It appears to be real animal hair, but I can't tell for sure. It breaks off after a few fish like real animal hair.

I have not used it yet but it appears to be made of great quality. The hook is super sharp (learn the hard way taking it out of the box), and the paint job is phenomenal. I can't wait to use it.
