Can you put these on a plain hook or does there need to be something else on your hook like a rubber worm?
Answer: Hi,
Answer: I've used these for years. It seems that most fish that take this bait hold on to it longer allowing for a better chance of a good hook set. I have used it for panfish (bream) when they are on the beds spawning, with only the nibble on the hook for bait...very effective! I also add them to the hook on tube or hair jigs when I fish for crappie, again with good success. Chartruse is my color of choice! Believe me, they work!

How long do these last before dissolving or losing their scent ?
Answer: They will fall off the hook very easily, would take a while to dissolve.

I use these for my 4 year old to catch sun fish. We get bites almost immediately on every cast. I take a couple and mush them together when I put it on the hook. They work well.

First time using this tonight at the pond in our subdivision. Caught a Crappie on my first cast. On my second cast I had a nibble and lost it. On the next two cast, two more fish. My daughter was with me and she caught 10 fish in total, one was a very nice sized bass. Within about 45 minutes we caught a total of 13 fish. It could have been more but I stopped because my daughter was catching them so fast that I didn't have time to fish myself as I was taking them off her hook all the time.
We fish this pond all the time and before this we might catch 1 or 2 fish each time we go. We had hit on almost every cast. My daughter could have more but she is still learning how to set the hook and detect when she has a bite. Wish I had tried this stuff a lot sooner. Made for a very nice father daughter evening of fishing.

Roger : Price is unrealistically high compared to Walmart, Bass Pro, and Cabela’s.
Was going to order a dozen bottles like I did in April of 2018. At that time they cost $37.80 for 12 large bottles (1 oz). Couldn’t believe the asking price at almost $10.00 per bottle. Checked Bass Pro and they are only $5.18/each. Bye Bye Amazon for this product. Star rating is for the product. No stars for the price. Get real.

I liked the fact that it came quickly. I could've ran down to Wal-mart to pick them up but would rather them come to me. I took these on my fishing trips and put them on a Strike King Minnow Crankbait ( Fire Tiger color) and have always had a hit. Crappie will take it for sure, but I've had smaller tiger perch strike it too. It's a must have for beginner crappie fishing, good to use with the kids on a Saturday afternoon. Fishing is much more than the gear but these attract the Crappie as advertised.

Years ago, I read of crappie anglers using these nibbles to increase their catch. Specifically, they would cause reluctant crappie to bite the jig the nibble was on because of its smell (taste?). This was especially true in the cold water of winter when their metabolism slowed. I tried them and they worked as described. In fact, they were so good I began to use them for crappie year-round. I still count on them today. They are easy to use. Simply slide the nibble onto the hook until it touches whatever jig you are using. That's it; cast away!
The nibble will begin to slowly dissolve once it is in the water giving off whatever delicious scent attracts the crappie bite.
Helpful hint: if your bottle of nibbles dry out and become hard, just wad up a small, slightly larger than pea-size piece of paper towel you've wet with water. You want it very damp, but not sloppy wet. Put it in the bottle and seal the lid tightly. Usually, overnight the moisture will completely rejuvenate your nibbles. a larger bottle with many inside may need two treatments.

Used at our local lake. Caught about 30 crappie over a 3 hour period in late evening. Lot of fun! Easy to use! Putting two at a time on a crappie hook with float yielded best results. Kids had a blast (so did the adults)

These nibbles are great. We tried these after an unsuccessful day when the only guy catching was using these nibbles. From the first cast we were catching good size crappie and stopped when we caught 105. The next week we caught 30. No one around us was catching much. Our freezer is full and we are happy.
