I am just SOOOO glad that they are not Mexican or Hispanic descent. I hear a lot of people complain that they always take everything they catch. That would have just about put a nail on the coffin for that stereotype.
I am Guatemalan and that is something I DO NOT want to be stuck with every time I go out fishing...

I can't believe what I just read in this thread. Some of you are just clueless.
Take the boats and all tackle
Take the vehicles used to haul the boats
Give them jail time
Revoke all hunting and fishing license in home states.
These guys should never have the opportunity to ever enjoy the fishing and hunting privileges that we all try to protect.
Personally I hope they don't see home for a long while.

Agree with you guys, for them to come up to Erie and poach smallies - they must be serious enough bass fishermen. Plus they released the walleyes?? I'd rather eat a walleye!
Fine 'em all to repay costs for time staking them out, revoke fishing and hunting privileges for life, and sell their tackle or donate to some youth group.

As for the old timers. shesh. if they were old men fishing off shore catching one or two and getting busted...sure its the law, but i'd say give them a break. no excuse for the law, but slap on the wrist. but its apparent these are avid fishermen catching that man bass in a couple days. what in the world are they going to do with that many small mouth bass anyways. on another note: where is this spot!!

With no regard like that, they deserve the fullest punishment under the law. I just wish it applied to the CDOW and USFWS for what they are doing in my state, killing largemouth and smallmouth in our rivers and leaving them to rot on the banks.

IT ALREADY IS A STEREOTYPE. As a matter of fact, TONS of people already say it at my fishing club. They crap on "Mexicans" or any "Mexican" looking people for doing exactly what I said. They complain that they use fisheries, trash them and take out all the fish to feed their families.
Can one of you PLEASE explain to me how this is remotely close to being raciest?
I would love to have you explain to me how my actions were out of line. Just because I am approaching a sensitive and charged subject does not mean that I can't address it at all.

Sometimes I like to respond to "threads" by people who post "threads" just to get a reaction. Thank you for revealing your ignorance in life and fishing. May you take this opportunity to grow up and maybe think about quitting your posting since you bring nothing to the table. License, boat, equipment, lifetime ban, and hung by the toe nails should always be a part of the punishment. That's a HUGE hit on the population of smallies in that water--the amount of time it took to get those 141 smallies...CHUMPS--100% CHUMPS...they should be made to show up at a tournament and be introduced as rapers and pilligers of fish and then made to "walk-the-gauntlet". AND...those who post on here just to get a reaction should think about finding another site to practice their immaturity--please, just go away. Fish on. John. P.S. I got my biggest smallie yesterday, 25 3/4 inch, out of a creek that hasn't been "molested". Nothin' like a "healthy" fish population, void of "stealers".
