Answer: Yes! It’s strong enough to hold up 300lb + Blue fin tuna. If you fishing more in OBX , cape cod , or P.E.I Canada. You can go with SIze 11/0, 13/0 .

Answer: while these are a quality product I have since bought ones that come attached to a solid ring I like them better much quicker to use attaching it detaching them

Answer: #3/0 should pair with 100G jigs , #4/0 pair with 150g , 160 g jigs . if you jigging for big and power fish like greater Amberjack ,black grouper , better go with size #7/0 .

Finally got a chance to use this Assist Hooks with my own jig! Amazing Quality! I went for 8 hours party boat fishing today with this amazing Assist Hooks with my jig in Miami. Limit out on Spanish Mackerel, and a cute Strawberry Grouper! I will buy some Capt. Wang's Jigs for my next fishing trip!

Just received my 5/0 green glow hooks. The first thing I noticed is that they are not the same color as in the picture. The pic shows blue cord, and what I received was red cord. Not a big deal but not as described or pictured. The hook looks pretty strong when compared to my other expensive name brand hooks, but.... the 5/0 also lines up with my 7/0 and 8/0 circle hooks. So, I have a much larger hook than expected that I'm not sure will work on my 200g SP jigs. No matter, I'll use them but have to order a 3/0 since it seems to be 2-3 times larger. Bonus that the green feather that glows, it looks pretty cool. More after I use these in 3 weeks on my trip. So for now, 3 stars.

Nice looking product. Pay attention to all of the sizing detail on the product page because they don’t seem to follow standard hook sizing or there is something I don’t understand. Pictured here are the “size 3/0” assist hooks next to gamakatsu 3/0 live bait and octopus hooks. The assist hook is gigantic by comparison. They provided the detail that I clearly didn’t review so I’m not singing them a star. Just be sure to look at the sizing info they provide.

Product worked well, attracted cod, black sea bass and dog fish unfortunately. And the hook was sharp and solid that thing isn't going anywhere. Actually funny story is I got stuck on the bottom and was able to break off a piece of coral and bring it back up.

Very sharp, larger than most 7/0, super strong. Landed an 80# halibut on one hook. And as you can see am holding its full weight w no damage. Excellent at all sizes. Great change from a treble on jigs. Easier on the fish and way less snags. Ordered more already, and already want to order spares.
