Margaret : The vacuum function does not always work

Took several tries to achieve seal and vacuum and in most cases the vacuum was not effective, although it did seal. It is cheaply constructed, compared to others I have seen in stores such as Bed and Bath. I do not anticipate a long life for this unit, it heats up fast and cools down very slowly. I would not recommend it.

This first couple of days, I thought this vacuum sealer was great. A week after using this thing, it no longer sucks air out of bags (and I read the troubleshooting tips in the directions, still does not work). Additionally, one of the two side clips fell off already. Yes, this one is probably the cheapest one you will find, so it makes sense that it is very poor quality. If you plan to use a vacuum sealer machine for years, then spend a little bit more money and get a good one.

won't seal 11" wide bags as sealing chamber only 10 3/4 wide, must wait 1-2 min between each bag or heat bar will melt bags without continuous seal and takes too long to use when sealing multiple bags

I don't recommend this product. The first use went well and I got some salmon sealed up nicely. Next use about a week later, using exact same method I couldn't get a good vacuum or a good seal. Waste of money and time.

J. Alain Ferry : Cheap crap. Stay away.

This thing is awful—it’s made with cheap plastic pieces and the foam gaskets stick to each other and pull from the unit every time I use it. Out of the box it was apparent that this thing is garbage, and I should’ve returned it immediately. But I missed the return window, so gave it a shot. I have sealed fish three times, and it’s practically ready for the trash bin. Don’t easter your money on this!
