Construction: these appear to be very well made with a realistic look to them, other than the odd shape. There are various colors for various fishing conditions. And the hooks are sharp yet can be easily replaced. As for success with these, pretty true to par with any lure set. Sometimes you catch and sometimes you don’t. For us, half the fun is the challenge!

Yoda OK : Good for starter lures

I gave these to my son for Christmas, along with some other fishing gear to get him started. These seem like decent lures for a beginner. Not too expensive so if they get tangled and lost, it's not a huge deal. We haven't gotten to try them yet as I'm not into fishing in the freezing cold. The colors on them are nice, but again, I don't know yet how well that will hold up after use. Overall, seem good for someone to get them started.

I got these for my Dad, who is an avid fisherman in the lakes of Minnesota. He reports that they are well-built, and that the hooks are indeed SHARP. Additionally, he says he feels like they will be good in the spring - but not in the weedy waters of late summer. He thinks they'll just get hooked on weeds.
