These work amazing for white bass here in NM. They also work great for the smallmouth bass. Carolina rig with a 1/2 oz slider above a chain swivel and about a 15 inch leader.

Pretty much identical to a Foley spoon which is the most effective skipjack lure available. The problem is its sometimes not available from local shops when you need it. Lure is well constructed and durable, would definitely purchase again

Used them on a recent fishing trip for Shad. They worked great. Used them in a tandem rig combo with a Shad Dart. The combo out fished the duel Shad Dart rig. Good Value. Only thing I wished they had was a feather or buck-tail teaser.

We caught several skipjack for catfishing bait. I bought chartreuse, White, and the silver however the silver came with a split hook combination I think I would prefer having a single hook so that I could put a trailer hook on them easier but I'm sure the trailer hook on one would be fine. I think the price I paid was a fair price thank you
however I have not fished with the silver as of yet they appear to be good baits fished in a Carolina rig below guntersville dam

UPDATED: 9/8/2021 I contacted the seller and had an email conversation. They are going to look at the paint issue and sent me some product to make up for the experience I had with them. I very much look forward to the update. ....... ORIGINAL REVIEW CONTINUES HERE: However.....so after watching Kayak Catfish on YouTube, catching skipjack and white bass on these Sumo Spoons, I figured I'd try them, especially since they are more economical than some other spoons that are similar. They work fantastic. Honestly, especially on a trolling rig, they catch the crap out of white bass. So why no 5 start? After about 1/2 day of fishing all of the paint starts to come off. I had chartreuse and white colored Sumo Spoons. The paint comes off both colors WAY too fast. I could throw another coat of paint on them, but I shouldn't have to. I ordered several packages and they were all the same. I'll have to pay more for something like a pet spoon so I know it'll last. Sumo folks, if you can improve your paint durability, you'll have a return customer since I guide for white bass on a Dallas area lake. Until then, I have to move on. 3 stars, they DO catch fish, 5 stars if the paint lasted any time at all.
