Answer: Technically, they are considered streamers. Streamers are bigger flies that you fish on active retrieve under the water (Wet flies are usually dead-drifted). These Wooly Buggers imitate leeches. Hope this helps answer your question.

drew : BWO turned into a Scud

I ordered the adams, blue wing olive, caddis, and midge packs. The thickness was very disappointing on the adams and BWO. I starting out dropping the BWO in an eddy and within 15min, it was unrecognizable and was sliding off the hook. I thought it was a lemon so i switched to the #16 adams. Unfortunately, the adams turned into a scud within a few casts. The caddis held up fine and I expect the simplicity of the zebra midge will be conducive to decent quality so i am keeping those packs.

Its a shame the Adams and BWO were subpar quality. I really wanted to find a new outlet to buy quality flies that wouldnt break the bank.

I have begun the return process and will update how that goes.

LPN : Caddis Pack - Look good for the price

These look pretty good considering they're only ~$1 per fly. I docked 1 star because the pack was supposed to come with four #12 and five #14 standard caddisflies, but it looks like I got nine #12 flies. The four parachutes are #14 as specified.

These lures are well crafted and look amazing. We don’t have trout in the rivers around me but I have caught a lot of perch and bluegills with these. Can’t wait for next spring to go out to spearfish canyon and land some beautiful trout!

I'm new to fly fishing as of this summer but these are considerably better quality than the cheap flies that came with my starter rig and the price isn't prohibitive. I can actually see and feel the difference. Best part - they catch fish. This is my third order (got the Adam's set, midge set, and now Chernobyl) from Ventures. It won't be my last.
