The Catch Co Bubonic BUGZ are a collaboration between Catch Co and underground lure artist Chris Grout. Combining brush stroke and airbrush techniques for lifelike, alluring colorways, the BUGZ squarebill crankbaits are meant to catch the attention of both fish and anglers. Chris collaborated with Catch Co to bring you custom color patterns most fish have never seen. Combining the talents of an artist and an angler, these designs put a unique twist on common squarebill crankbait bass lure patterns like crawfish and chartreuse. The Bubonic BUGZ squarebill fishing lure is a 2.5”, 1/2 oz floating bait fitted with size #4 Mustad triple grip hooks. Answer: It’s a standard squarebill with a sweet a$$ paint job so 2-4 ft. If you do the burn and short pause method on light line (less than 10lbs test) you can get it down to about 5 on a long cast.

Steven : Paint job is subpar

The paint job on this bait is HORRIBLE! I ordered the red craw pattern with the matte finish and the top of the bait looks like it’s been rubbed with sandpaper. C’mon Catch Co, a little quality assurance goes a long way!
