hello, i bought this xL4 blue bait caster reel and had lost the blue spool tension knob during a fishing excursion. How do I order this part?

How many magnets is the brake system?

Answer: There are five magnets in the system. They work well. I bought four of these reels when they were less expensive and they all work well. They're very smooth and the drags are consistent and smooth. I'm very satisfied with them.

Why is there no diagram to know what each thing does?

Answer: no ideal wasn't smart didn't understand.so you are not going be able contact manufacture

I can’t even explain how great this reel is I have used it for awhile now around a month and am so impressed but I did get it when it was only $18 I would totally recommend even at $50 it’s amazing is you crank up the breaks you don’t even have to thumb the line at all

Feels a little small in my hand but it’s a smooth retrieve and castability is decent. I would say buy it sooner rather than later. I found one of the higher level reels for $20, a week later it was $60. Strike while the irons hot.

So far after using this reel for some hours I'd say that it's pretty comparable to the Abu Garcia black max. If this reel is on sale do yourself a favor and buy it. Also make sure to lub it up good before you use it.

I am disappointed in what I received when ordering this amazing reel. About two months ago I purchased one to try out and it was amazing. I then decided to buy another and come to discover it was a left instead of a right reel. I decided to return it to get another right reel to find put the price went up on the right and the left was now the old price. I’m very disappointed that Amazon and kalex allowed this to happen due to the fact that I reordered the same reel from my reorder option on Amazon. Something should be done about this ASAP before many others are disappointed in an amazing product.

Sone : Might of gotten a lemon; brake won’t work!

Love the price however I might of gotten a lemon. Had the brakes set to the highest setting, tension on tight and backlashed every cast. Couldn’t even dial it in. This was suppose to be my leave in the car set up vs carting around my expensive set up all the time. Sending her back, they can also keep the 15# line I just spooled up; not worth my time taking it off.

It’s been great to learn on. At the price I paid, which was $20 or so, I have nothing to complain about yet. Been throwing a lot of heavy spinners and swimbaits on a 7ft medium action rod. I have been targeting pike but only got some 2-3 pound bass so far, we’ll see how it handles something larger.

UPDATE: reel is still working as when I got it just over a year ago. Sees a lot of use, I even throw 3 oz swim baits with it occasionally and no issues. I have even caught carp on it. I have used it on the cape cod canal throwing spoons. It sits in the bed of my truck exposed to the elements. I have not even serviced this reel. I’m not paid or given any deals or products for this review, just being honest and sharing my experience. For those who don’t a lot of extra money to throw around on gear, this is a solid bait caster for the money.

The thing about this reel is that it is just unexpected for it to be this good, I got this reel in order to lend it to people who come over that don't know how to use a bait caster. When I tested it for myself I was astonished at how far it casted and with a little tuning no birds nest to be seen.

I found it difficult to properly adjust the drag. This necessitated increased effort when casting. I may have re-injured a rotator cuff repair of several years ago.

Did well with topwater swim-baits jigs deep-divers stick-baits and spinners all the way up to a 25# Flathead on an in-line spinner… casts well although I’m a beginner with this type of reel I’ve found it easy to adjust after a few YouTube instructional songs baitcaster setup… Rookie tip: a small piece (3/4” square) of electrical tape on the spool at maximum desired cast length plus 5 yds this limits the amount of line to pick out of a backlash… I call this my training wheels and if ya hook into a hog the tape strips off as drag pays out….
